About to be 10 years since my mom passed. She was 43 years old. Passed away 2 weeks after her birthday. Ten years later I'm 35 and this song means more to me then anyone can grasp. No matter who sings it, the lyrics nail the bond we had every time and always bring me to tears. Man I miss you, mom. So damn much.

2. Maybe look up the actual lyrics before trying to correct my video? Even in the Skynyrd version it's "kind of". Google "Simple God Known Man". Nothing comes up. Every major lyrics site has it as "Kinda" or "Kind of".

This version sucks part of the lure of this song is the guitar work and Shinedown missed the fuckin ball for sure. I cant even beleive that Gary Rossington sighned off on this shit its a insult to Allen Collins and Ed King.
