Ive seen them royally screw up a few of their "assembled in usa" drivers. Also seen more than one person order the more spl oriented progressive pack with more spiders as well as upgraded coils and sundown sent them a bone stock xv3. One guys destroyed it because he was going on the box and higher power specs sundown had gave him for the upgraded version then they fought him on repairing it and blamed him when it failed after a day or so. Then finally offered a slight discount on a bone stock recone kit.. Not the setup he initially paid for though.
I think the XV3 can be a pretty good sub really but there are a lot of things about it I dont care for mostly things that were done to make it easy for someone to slap together and also making them just a bit more proprietary and harder for other non sundown network folks to repair them.

I’ve been telling Jacob on social media it would be nice to come up with a way to differentiate the subs. They all look the same from the front. The motors are only easy to distinguish for those of us who see these subs all the time.

Did sundown put that ring in the xv3 motor too? The motor looks the same but those coils look like NSV3 recones that people think fit the Xv3
They simply removed the ring. That's the only change that I'm aware of in the v3. They know that the v2 is a liability and wanted to assure people that they wouldn't make that mistake again.
