sC is on fire y'all keep going too the top cardosa I'm very impressed with you today you handled your business keep playing tough don't let anyone bully you reach up and get that ball👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Coach Staley, ❤ and appreciate your open and honest dialogue. Thank you for caring for and supporting the women on the SC team and other teams. We need more women to provide positive leadership and guidance during those formative years🙏. It's challenging, but very rewarding!
The transparency that coach Staley aka BOO has during this press conference about her past players such as Brea, Victoria, Destiny just shows that she cares about past players and her coaching development and memory is remarkable!! Round of applause and she is one of the GOAT!!!
I am glad that Coach Staley acknowledged that she didn't help Bree Beal by confining her to be a defensive player only. That girl was a beast in highschool, she could be just as good in college, but unfortunately the only thing they wanted her to do, was playing defense. She's not even in a WNBA roster right now, and was selected very low in the draft. I am glad that they developed Bree Hall to the player Bree Beal was supposed to be.
@nettadavis9384 I hoped that too, but she didnt wanna stay in school; plus some people were still saying that she would be a first round pick, I guess that's why she thought that leaving for the Wnba for the bedt thing for her.... Leticia was an 8th pick draft with Atlanta, and even though she's struggling in the Wnba, I am blaming her coach in Atlanta for her struggles. She doesn't give her a lotta playing time.

Agree. Coach Staley, thank you for keeping your eyes on the bigger picture for these young ladies. It appears some coaches use these young ladies for wins and to feel seats.
Omg yes!!! I was so excited to see her do an up and under post move today. She needs to learn some front n reverse pivot footwork and definitely drop step. She had Boston to watch n learn from. And stop bringing the ball down to her waist. Keep it high bc ur the biggest on the court.
Unfortunately, if this is where she is after playing 4 years of Div 1 college and several years of AAU and Olympic ball; then this is where she is going to stay at the college level. Despite the coach's compliments, haven't really seen any improvement in her skill level since she was a freshman at Syracuse. At this point you have to accept she can only shoot layups - and 25% of those she is going to miss. Wouldn't expect her to be dependably dominate like Wilson or Boston...seems not her personality.
@@nettadavis9384 - been four years already and it still hasn'tcaught up; that tends to tell you it is what it is for the rest of her college years. Wouldn't expect her to make any significant improvement until she gets more focused coaching at the pro level.

Soon you will get to pounce on the "Walking Wounded" from UConn. UConn and injuries go together like peanut butter and jelly or ham and eggs. I half expect them to take the court enwrapped in bandages and taped up. I've heard that they're going to be renamed the, "UConn Mummies." Any truth to the rumor?
its a shame that there are actually morons like yourself that take light into players being injured. I am more of the fact that SC should win this game but I as a fan of the woman's game would like to see both teams at full strength. makes for better entertainment. But to make light or even joke around about these woman being injured is true sign of a very ignorant person.
has to do with how the team performs while she's on the court, as oppose to how it performs when she is not on the court. Essentially means the team is +17 points better when she plays compared to when she is out of the lineup. its a stat that attempts to measure whether a player has a net positive or negative impact while they are in the game.
Dwayne, you’re right. But guess what? Every team seems to suffer from that. I’ve seen Iowa do that, Indiana, LSU etc. And the foul shooting is something for SC and many others to improve.
No team is invincible. Every D1 on the Gamecocks schedule has the talent to play competitively. A loss could happen for the Gamecocks with any game. Gamecock Nation knows this. We cheer, support, and hope they win anyway.
We may lose one but people forget we are a young team we ain't a super team like lsu but I will take my sc girls as a team cause they play as a team n we can shoot the 3 ball that was lack last year
Yeah, she doesn't have that killer instinct about her. That's just not her personality. She's going to get bullied in the WNBA if she doesn't toughen up more !!
She is indeed weak; definitely a personality issue. Would expect the post-coaches at the pro level to have less patience with her weaknesses and failure to significantly improve. Look at the improvement of Kitts from last year to this...she's improved her game more in 1 year than Cardozzo has improved hers in all 4 of hers.

Amazing game 🎉🎉🎉🎉

You can tell she is trying to get the mental to catch up to the physical.
