What if cinnamon goes into the puppy's area? So it won't be alone?
Livestock guardian dogs don't "guard" until they are closer to a year old and are not considered adults until 2-3 years old. She would not be able to guard now because she's too small (and would be considered prey by larger predators) at this point.
You have to work with them from puppies CONSISTENTLY.
I know this because we have an Anatolian Shepherd. Nate over on Narroway Homestead has a Boz Shepherd(resembles the Anatolian, but better temperment). He has worked with his several months now and it's a learning process for sure. Nate has 103 acres and their Aslan is never tied or fenced.
You honestly can't treat them like regular dogs.

I raised Rottweilers and they are puppy till 3yo for males and 2.5 for females.
They grow all that time too.
Now sheep dogs raised in the flock are protective after a year.A friends 75% wolf hybrid was independent at a year and you had to be in his pack to not be suspicious to him, b
@@GBuds_RVremodel Anatolian Shepherd's adulthood is at 3 years(for thosec who don't know). Our Aslan didn't really start to fill all the way out until a few months ago. He'll be 3 in August. Def grown a bunch since last August.
Good choice for to guard livestock .you'll have to boundaries on people .these like to be near livestock they laid in a shade watch for predictors

Oh my goodness great news! Baby goat will be there soon! I think Wednesday will love being a goat guardian for the dreamers landing. It will be her purpose, and everyone needs a purpose. I think she will be so happy!

Hello Mike and Lyssa. The homestead is growing and that is awesome. Cinnamon is a perfect name for the goat. I have 2 Chihauhaus, one is named Cinnamon and the other is named Ginger. I choose the names based on their coats.

I love the name Cinnamon!!! So cute!!! I have a Husky too. Her name is Luna. She acts so much like Eclipse. We have a fenced in yard and she was still escaping. We finally broke down and got the collar with the invisible fencing. Works awesome!! We took her around and showed her the perimeters and she hasn’t gotten out again. When she gets near the gate and hears the beeping sound she immediately goes back. They are so smart! Very high energy! 😊
You know, you introduce another dog to a livestock guardian dog while she is doing her job; that is so dangerous to the "invading" dog. Eclipse is trying to protect her goats from the possible threat.

Hi Mike and Lyssa you take such good care of your furbabies . They all are so pretty. And very smart. Thats great your getting chickens and rabbits. You've come a long ways since moving here. Eclipse is so pretty and the baby goats are so cute. Eclipse seems protective of the goats. Your gonna get a goat. Cinnamon thats such a cute name. Shes pretty. Goats are great land clearers, great idea getting at least one goat. Wednesday will learn what electric fences are all about.
Eclipse just wants a playdate! Good idea to start bringing Wednesday up to the goats. The exposure and eclipse will work well in training her.

Is Cinnamon still getting milk from her momma. She sure seems skinny. If not I think she needs to be fed separately from the other goats so she can get more food because the big ones will probably eat it up so quickly before she has a chance to get enough. I know she’s still small but does her mom still have milk. Just curious since she’s so skinny.
