  • Rwandan President Paul Kagame is expected to win a fourth term in office in an election on Monday. Kagame ran against the same two challengers in 2017.
    Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced Thursday that he will seek a second five-year term in an election set for September 7. Tebboune was elected in 2019 with 58 percent of the vote, following months of pro-democracy protests.
