    Stone Circles were used as calenders - So farmers know when best to plant crops...
    From that they gained a religious significance as if people started thinking the Stone Circles were the actual reason for the changing seasons - Hense Druid Lead Paganism, the UKs first religion...

      Actually, it is now understood that Celtic Druidism was started by an Egyptian Princess named Scota.
      Scotland very literally means “The Land of Scota,” princess Scota who hailed from Egypt. Scottish and Celtic Druidic History states that Scota came from Egypt with tablets and cuneiform texts.
      She taught them Egyptian Knowledge, which the ancient Gaels and Ogygians (Scots and Irishmen respectively) considered Magic. Things like Science, Botany, Chemistry, etc.
      The combined Celts from Ireland and Scotland then bred the smartest of their tribes with the Strongest warriors from Iberia (Ancient Spain, a land of “Savages and Monsters,” according to the ancient world), in order to create two new tribes;
      The Celtiberi Shaman and Celtiberi Warrior Clans. The Shamans were tasked by Scota with protecting the texts and ancient information she had brought, in the event her father or someone proceeding him came after the information in the future.
      The Warriors were thus tasked with protecting the Shamans with their dying breath, fighting as hard as they could using the “Magical” mixtures of Natural medicines and remedies and drugs to “Enhance” themselves.
      .
      It was never magic. It was always Science.

      It’s entirely possible that 5,000+ years ago, red hair was way more common than it is today, but because of religious violence for the last 3,500 years, red heads were nearly wiped out completely

    hi, Katrina! Karahan and Gobekli are only two of at least a dozen tepe sites in Turkey. and some are being actively excavated as we speak. the best channel to get the real info is Ancient Architects. down to earth explanations of how, why, and when. no aliens nescesary.
    thank you, Kat, for also presenting these finds in a real way. the reasons for and methods of building such structures are mysterious enuff without adding far-fetched, fantastic, and, probably, untrue "facts". one reason i'm a subscriber(love your voice, too) see ya later, m'lady! Bye!

    Archaeology holds all the keys to understanding who we are and where we come from. In archaeology, context is everything. Objects allow us to reconstruct the past. Taking artifacts from a temple or an ancient private house is like emptying out a time capsule. 🙂

      BTW - I don't think we're the first intelligent species this planet has produced...
      But we've talking millions of years in the past as all evidence of humanity would be wired out in 100,000 years...
      Even Mount Rushnore will no longer represent US Presidents - They would be weathered down to looking more like Trump...😝🤣

    • @johnnyrocket1685
      @johnnyrocket1685 Před 2 lety

      Idk why astronaut theorist makes any sense for knowing this one.
      Gobekli tepe is an 11 hour walk north east from Karahan Tepe.
      Gobekli Tepe tells of a catastrophic “World Ending event, but it wasn’t the Great Deluge; it was the Younger Dryas Impact Event.
      A comet that struck the coast of Greenland and caused a 1,200 year long Mega winter from about 15,000 years ago to about 13,800 years ago.
      About 2,000 years later, after the dust had finally settled and the sun peered through the curtain of a Winter that literally never once stopped for 1,200 years - Humans in Turkey carved Gobekli Tepe, detailing the events of a Comet from the Sky hurtling down onto the earth, causing worldwide devastation for at least a thousand years.
      .
      After they carved Gobekli Tepe, they simply kept moving South east, further away from the water and more into warmer and fertile environments, where they stopped and decided to carve out Karahan Tepe.
      Or, Karahan Tepe perhaps was carved into the earth because it was designed to protect them through the winter underground, and when it finally settled, they came out and walked until they found where they wanted to make Gobekli Tepe and record history.
      .
      Either way; Nothing to do with Astronaut Theories in any capacity.

    I don't know who does the research and editing for your channel but, I found an error in your images. At 12:41 you are discussing the cave system the Mayans used to irrigate their civilization and in one image you have a Mayan warrior riding the back of a horse. This would be a misrepresentation of history. Horses in North and South America went extinct at the last ice age. The horse in it's current form wouldn't have been seen until the Spanish Conquest of the 1500s so a Mayan riding a horse is not a correct statement regarding history. Yes, I am that much of a purist with regards to history my favorite subject.

    What if they're simply land-based markers aiding travelers over great distances between settlements, acting as part signpost as well as an actual compass for general navigation? Not sure if I've ever heard anyone else thinking this way, so commenters please let me know what you think?🤔👍👎
