I met or saw Ted Lange in New York City in Columbus Circle back in 2003,when I was handing out paper flyers-I greeted him by saying"You look very familiar-Where have I seen you before?"-His reply to me in a very unfriendly tone was"I don't know-Where have you seen me before?"-I got a very bad impression about Ted Lange from the TV show of The Love Boat-I told Ted I know him from The Love Boat on TV,and he finally admitted it by saying"Yes,I'm from the TV show of The Love Boat",and he walked away crossing the street-He was very unfriendly,and NOT an actor you will want to ask him for his autograph and take a photo with him,if you see him in ANY public place!!!
He meant it in jest. This happening in 2017 no biggie but in 2020 😲 Wokeness and Cancel Culture makes it a big deal. Let's all take a breath and relax a little.
The Love Boat would not have been as successful as it was without Ted Lange. He is a brilliant, talented actor.
