- And we made it to the finale. Wow what a ride Demon Slayer Season 2 has been ahhh! From the start of the entertainment district arc to the incredible fights and this ending, it was unbelievable and just the best. I didn't this anime could get any better than it was season 1 and mugen train BUT IT DID with every episode surpassing the next. This season only confirmed that this anime is one that stands out among others for good reason and will be remembered. I had so much fun watching it and reacting to it. Can't wait for season 3! Definitely looking forward to season 3 even though I've read it. Ufotable is elevating the manga so much that I'm stoked to see how they do the upcoming events.
This reminded me of humanity's first victory at Trost in AoT. The Demon Slayers finally being able to say "we won" against an upper moon. With no slayers dying either. I can't imagine how the Demon Slayer Master was feeling.

Upper moons have never been defeated by any of the hashiras over 113 years, usually their position changed because of the blood battle between upper moons, and there was never a single lower ranks won the battle with upper ranks(Muzan has formed upper ranks first, and then formed the lower ranks and other lower-classed demons) . Besides, there were tons of lower ranks killed by hashiras before but there were also many hasiras killed by the upper moons over few centuries. The gap between upper and lower is phenomenal. If you pay attenetion to Muzan at episode 26 in season 1, when he wiped out all the lower ranks, he said" over the few centuries the upper moons have remained the same, and they have already disposed tons of hashiras. However, these lower ranks have been replaced over and over again."
DAKI and GYUTARO's mother was "Syphilis". It is Japanese name "BAIDOKU" and is written as "Plum poison".
The real name of DAKI is "UME". "UME" is "Plum" in English.
Her real name, UME, comes from "Plum poison" = "Syphilis".
GYUTARO's lean body, ugliness and black bruises are also caused by her mother's "Syphilis".
UME was ridiculed by her samurai about GYUTARO, and from her anger she struck the samurai's eyes.
GYUTARO and DAKI were at the fork between heaven and hell.
At first, Gyutaro didn't try to stay with DAKI because he realized that DAKI could go to heaven. Because Gyutaro is still in the form of a demon, but DAKI has returned to the form of a human and was on the side of the light. That's why GYUTARO shouted, "Go in the bright direction on the other side," and tried to send DAKI to heaven. But DAKI chose to go to hell with GYUTARO.
This anime is just a fictional story, but I can't help but hope that they will be happy brothers the next time they are reborn.

Gyuutaro hadn't been treated like a human since he was a human,
and I thought it was his way of being kind to let only his sister go down a different path than him at the end.

i read in another comment that Daki was actually going to go heaven. because she was shown in the light in her human state. She didn’t choose to become a demon, her brother made that choice for her so she didn't have a choice and he kinda pushed her to become what she is. that's why she was given a chance for redemption and she still chose to go to Hell with her brother. i think that's really sad, almost made me cry
Yeah and Gyutaro wanted her to leave him and go to heaven but she refused which shows just how much she cares about him, damn it was emotional
That Upper six demon's (with rainbow eyes) voice actor is Mamoru Miyano, the same voice actor as Tamaki from Ouran Host Club!!

It’s Really Cool/Poetic That Gyutaro and Daki (Ume) Have Cool Blue Eyes
And In Contrast Tanjiro and Nezuko have Warm Red Eyes

I LOVED THIS ARC SO MUCH, SO AMZAING AND WELL WRITTEN!!
The writer fully explored the depths of fortune and misfortune. Gyutaro and Ume's backstory, so sad. Gyutaro's darkest moment was due to humans his whole life essentially, Tanjiro's was due to a demon's doing and Tengen just because he is FLASHY AND SO IMPRESSIVE Gyutaro thought all he had was fortune, but nah! Gyutaro found his strength and purpose when Ume was born, learned how to fight, because he didn't want her to go through what he went experienced. The fortune and misfortune of one's upbringing:
Both brother's at their darkest moments held on to their sisters, Tanjiro begging & hoping not to lose another family member and Gyutaro declaring hell on those he saw as fortunate, because they never had the hearts to give aid.
Tengen chose to forget his upbringing and value the lives of those closest to him, because what's the point of fighting if you don't value the lives of others.
Inouske raised himself learned survival & grew stronger and valued his strength/independence. In this arc he valued more than himself.
Zenitsu shouldn't stay asleep, but I hope he learns how awesome he is so he can believe in himself, he never had parents or siblings anyone who'd hope to see him achieve staff until gramps, but clearly his confidence had been lowered next zero, his void led him to depend on others without really valuing or believing in himself... hence the desperation from attention, confusing sympathy for love, etc. But now am hoping that Inouske an Tanjiro will drill it in him that "you're awesome Zenitsu, just believe in yourself..."

Love your honest reaction, sis. This is indeed a very emotional episode. Ume had a chance to go towards the light (better place) and her brother wants her to go that way to save her. But she decided to stick with her brother forever even to hell.

Nezuko’s Demon art doesn’t heal them exactly. It’s fire that only damages demons and demon arts. So it wouldn’t work on normal poison. But since Gyutaro’s poison is a demon art she could destroy it

Why did Gyutaro emerge from Daki's back?
I thought his strange emerge method had some meaning.
He is usually hiding on Daki's back. He only appears from her back when she is in danger.
It wasn't hiding.He would had protected Daki as hug her from her back.

This scene never leaves my head.
Since then, I don't hate this brothers anymore. Gyutaro is the best sister-oriented brother, and Daki is a cute little sister who is always anxious for her brother.
The only happiness left for two is to be able to with them even they die.

I've learned from the comment section from another video that the destruction of this red light district is a reference to the irl incident that happened in 1913 in Yoshiwara where the whole red light district was destroyed by a fire. What a reference the author did.

Damn, I'm really sad because of Gyutaro and Ume backstory, for now they really are my favorite demon, humanity is just cruel for them especially to Gyutaro since he's like that plus they born to entertainment district where beauty is the measure of value like he said( I really like the way that the story happens in entertainment district plus the Upper 6 sibling born their )

So, normally I don’t sympathize with antagonists, but since in Demon Slayer Tanjiro kills the demons peacefully, bringing them relief, it’s almost impossible to not feel for em. And these 2 in particular got me really good, because since I have brothers too, I have been under their skin. So when Tanjiro said this [13:51-14:11], it made me realize that I should be more grateful for the things my brothers have done to me, that I should blame less and help/let be helped. A really touching episode
Also Nezuko carrying Tanjiro is the cutest thing ever! Specially because he is the one who always carry her in the box, so it was wholesome to see Nezuko “paying back” his love
I dont know if they fell relief because both of them ended up in hell, Ume had a chance to go to heaven but she wanted to stay with her brother even in hell

I was impressed by the three people waving their swords on the roof.

And about tanjiro taking the place of tengen, that's not possible since tanjiro is Tomioka's successor, since he is registered as a water user and since Tomioka still holds the position of hashira as a water user, tanjiro has to wait for that Tomioka retire or die to take his place as hashira, even though he already has everything it takes to be one

I got that Rengoku sent to me from a friend who bought it from a store in Japan but you can probably find it on and online store like possibly AmiAmi
I'm a bit late in watching this, but I believe the idea of this choice between heaven or hell, is based off the Buddhist view? I recall someone writing a lengthy post about it and long story short basically going to hell isn't entirely a bad thing because after repenting for all of your sins, there is supposedly a chance of redemption or rebirth. So the fact that they are going together means that in the end there is a chance they will both be together when they are reborn again. I might be wrong since it's been a few years since I read it, but I think that was the general gist of it.
Honestly its the right thing since clearly they werent bad people at heart. Maybe the next life will be better for them
First time an upper rank is defeated in 113 years I believe. Unfortunately it came at the loss of Tengen as a Hashira, but to answer your question Tengen is still around as well as his wives. As far as the former upper six you have to keep in mind you can ascend and descend the ranks.
Won’t answer your Tanjiro replacing Tengen question cause it’s a spoiler but you will get your answer before the end of the show. As it stands there’s 4 major Arcs left it’s the Swordsmith Village arc which was announced as season 3 already there’s a teaser out of you want to see it. Following that it’s Hashira Training Arc and then the Infinity Castle Battle Arc with Countdown To Sunrise being the final arc.
Such a big achievement!! Oh okay I expect to see the upper six again then. Ooo okay can't wait to see the next arcs and see Tanjiro hopefully become a Hashira before the end
@@OtakuMai also this isn’t exactly a spoiler but the demon slayer core rules state that once you have killed your 50th demon you are technically a Hashira level slayer. The shortcut to this killing a Twelve Kizuki which is near impossible now since as you know there’s only upper ranks since Muzan destroyed the lowers. But since none of them did it alone it might not count. Guess we’ll see next season

The child prodigy mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, and the sweetest one of them all the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji
Muichiro is a strong confident kid for his age, the dude's even younger than out main cast and yet outclasses them in skill and power. And Mitsuri is like a sweet big sister who's suprisingly very powerful.
both are stronger than Tengen Uzui so that's something to look forward too

omg , the episode was too emotional. But that's the bloody Doma for you, an upper rank 2. I know he's one of the worst ones if not the worst but he does have an elegant personality haha. I honestly couldn't resist myself and ended up reading the manga for at least a next season. Guys believe me, this series is something else and it's gonna keep on getting better and better.

The difference in Tanjiro, Nezuko and Gyutaro, Daki is Tanjiro and Nezuko suffer because of Demon and some kind people help that's why they choose the right path and became demon slayer while Gyutaro and Daki suffer because of HUMANITY and no one want to help them that's why they have no choice but to became demon and choose the wrong path.

The Reason why he stabbed the samurai was that he called her brother ugly & tried to assault her. It was cleared by the mangaka in a magazine. If you wondering, No, this wasn't directly implied in the manga either.

If you're wondering who the guy who turned them into demons is, his name is Doma. He was previously upper 6 when he turned Daki and Gyutaro, but very quickly surpassed them once they joined the twelve kizuki and currently sits at upper 2.

No.... her blood demon art only effect demons. The poison she removed was from Gyutaro's blood... since its a demonic poisoning... it worked.
The master illness is a curse (stated in season 1), it didn't come from a demon blood. I won't get into details any further than that.

If you're talking about the Head Master... I'm pretty sure it was explained in season 1 he was cursed.... not poisoned. I will not explain how the headmaster was cursed... as that will get revealed in the future... though some people could figure it out this episode with his words... but that's for theory crafters to figure out.

The title was misleading / wrong again … I think they are doing this on purpose to fool the viewers… The actual title should have been more like, “No matter how many times we are reborn,” which we saw when Ume told Gyutaro that “no matter how many times we are reborn, I’m always going to be your little sister.”

S2 was so much better than S1. I get that the point of these backstories is to show that demons are tragic characters but its kinda getting repetitive and boring now.
