#NBA #NBADraft #MockDraft - Sport
I can see the draft moving more towards “ready” players (physically, IQ, skill) over potential. With the harder salary cap teams are less desiring to develop players versus cheaper players who can play a role immediately from Day-1.
I agree. What does it matter if they are a senior if they wouldn’t be that good till their 3 or 4th year of pro. I think Knecht will be really good
im loving what i see from devin carter too
Depends on where in the cycle a team is. Bad teams have no reason not to gamble on upside. But I can see teams like Houston who are just starting to get in the going more for ready made players over projects, even if they might need more talent just due to the new salary rules
That’s what the caves did in 2013 lol
Obviously, since this class has zero to none star potential…
You are an absolute godsend. Best NBA draft content on CZcams right here. Thank you so much for all the work you put in
it's not Spinella, but it's way ahead of the pack
Literally
It’s crazy we in a 3 point shooting era n every draft they still got shakey jumpers
Would love to see a Stephon castle scouting report next 🙌
ESPN having Clingan in the top 3 just seems like it’s not right to me. Can’t get behind it. Such a weird draft
Probably a combination of click bait and March madness hype. Clingman could be a capable backup center but has zero upside. Good choice for a playoff team that needs a backup center.
To be fair, none of these guys would be top 3 in a normal draft. Ultimately, someone has to be ranked high. Clingan feels like maybe the most pro-ready prospect in the class and drop coverage seems to be gaining in popularity this season even though everyone still likes the idea of an all-switching team.
@@BucsDucs99 it's a weak draft maybe it really is weak enough that Clingan is worthy. I just can't see it.
Tidjane Saluan breakdown pleeeeaasseee. Ive seen him all over the place on various boards, and he seems really intriguing. Some team is going to take a big swing on him.
29
i think pacome dadiet could potentially be the best french guy in the class apart from sarr
keandre stays at the top of the youtube scouting game. thanks for all your hard work man!
LETS GO i've been looking forward to this. Still trying to figure out how I feel about some of these prospects, I feel like the team workouts are gonna be so important this year to gauge where some prospects are at (eg. sarr's shot, topic's burst, ignite boys everything lol)
Best draft content on CZcams fashoo !!
*This is great work!*
love how u do second round prospects in depth too
My boi....!!! Coming right on time another big board
This dude has the best draft coverage and breakdowns out there! Pay attention and learn!
Thank you! I’m glad to see Ron Holland is up on somebody’s board I thought I was going crazy. Everyone has him low lottery I was like “wth am I missing!”.
Good stuff
I’m hoping Daron Holmes somehow gets to the bucks in the first round. Love that he’s improved significantly each year and his mobility and versatility at his size. Just need to clean up the turnovers.
Great rundown, as always! Castle at 9 is great value, the most all-NBA potential I saw in the tournament. What is Portland going to do with picks ~3/14?
Oh Ron Holland at 2 I like it 👀
You need to move Hunter Sallis up 😂
Practically the first big board top 10 that I can agree with for the most part.
1.) Portland Trail Blazers
Alexander Sarr
2.) Detroit Pistons
Ron Holland
3.) Washington Wizards
Donovan Clingan
4.) San Antonio Spurs
Zaccharie Risacher
5.) Charlotte Hornets
Reed Sheppard
6.) Memphis Grizzlies
Stephon Castle
7.) San Antonio Spurs
Rob Dillingham
8.) Utah Jazz
Nikola Topic
9.) Houston Rockets
Matas Buzelis
10.) Atlanta Hawks
Isaiah Collier
11.) Chicago Bulls
Ja'Kobe Walter
12.) Portland Trail Blazers
Cody Williams
13.) Oklahoma City Thunder
Zach Edey
14.) Sacramento Kings
Dalton Knecht
Good choices, but that 4 pick could be Raptor's
I would absolutely love it if the Rockets could get Matas.
Why are you so low on Kwame Evans, i have him as high as the first round, howevere i havent seen a llt of fimm, pls tell me your thoughts on him
Can you do an in-depth breakdown on Buzelis and Collier pls?
Side note: Johni Broome is staying at Auburn
Yo we have the same first name that’s dope😂
Damn dude watching you grow into an old man is gonna be wild 😂. Its been like 5 years i think when the Knicks drafted Knox.
Everyone’s gotta love watching rob there’s no doubt he brings that smooth X factor that’s rare. But what will the defense look like at #3 when you’re matching up against dogs each night. Is his passing ability as a small guard like that to be #3 overall or is he more of a Jamal Crawford Lou will?
Bench player, yes.
Everyone in this draft is gonna go 4-8 picks too high. It's just a weak draft.
PG Brandin Podziemski
SG Moses Moody
SF Jonathan Kuminga
PF Tracey Jackson-Davis
C PJ Hall or Johni Broom
eric gaines?
Why is Terrence Shannon not on your big board? Is it the legal stuff?
Presumably, right? And by legal stuff you mean rape stuff, right?
I don’t get why everybody has Johni Broome so low. Is there something I’m not seeing??
Tristan da Silva giving me Kyle kuzma without the swag or mental. Tyler smith should be placed where he is, those intangibles and age are perfect for the NBA.
finally
Ryan Dunn seems like a lock to contribute on a playoff team
Is Rob really 6’3? Coulda swore he was shorter. Would love him on the Wiz w a little more size. One of the few guys that really pops in this draft.
Точно.
Cody in OKC ??
those big wings who can shot will be sort after.
shoot*
Sarr and Ware are the two best bigs
1. Alex Sarr-1a
2. Cody Williams-1a
3. Stephon Castle-1a
4. Ron Holland-1a
5. Zaccharie Risacher-1a
6. Matas Buzelis-1b
7. Dalton Knecht-1b
8. Rob Dillingham-1b
9. Nikola Topić-1b
10. Reed Sheppard-1b
11. Tidjane Salaun-1b
12. Isaiah Collier-1b
13. Donovan Clingan-1c
14. Devin Carter-1c
15. Ryan Dunn-1c
16. Jared McCain-1c
17. Kel’el Ware-1c
18. Justin Edwards-1c
19. Terrence Shannon Jr. -1c
20. DaRon Holmes II-1c
21. Ajay Mitchell-1c
22. Kyle Filipowski-1d
23. Ja’Kobe Walter-1d
24. Yves Missi-1d
25. Carlton Carrington-1d
26. Johnny Furphy-1d
27. Tyler Smith-1d
28. Tristan Da Silva-1d
29. Kyshawn George-1d
30. Zach Edey-1d
Overall I like it. Mine is a little different but I can see that...
@@norrinradd542 Thanks… A lot can change after the combine it will be huge this year
@@bkelly625 for sure... Obviously one of my differences is Ryan Dunn. Hahaha. Edey is about perfect amongst others. See you around!
@bkelly625 you lost me at Justin edwards. Trying to figure out the difference between him and Chris Livingston’s Kentucky situation or Brandon Boston from the previous year. He would really benefit from another year of college.
@@VietnamvetOG He is a slightly longer and more functional athlete than those guys and was more efficient overall and has a high pedigree since high school. He reminds me a bit of Patrick Williams who despite his ups and downs and injuries still should be a solid 3 and D forward going forward and in this draft I think that archetype could be valuable in the late teens or early 20s
Grant Nelson showed his game enough for me
Ulrich Chomche is perfect for a team like the Clippers since they need anyone with a incredibly high upside prospect especially with the minimal draft picks and the aging roster we have.
Ron Holland #2??
some have terrence shannon in the 1st round
Dillingham looks like a Donovan Mitchel, Terrell Maxey type player but with a 6’3” wing span he will be late lottery. Ron Hollander has good upside but I think Cody Williams shooting is better.
Go and watch Donovan Mitchell athleticism in college. Stop disrespecting d Mitch! Maybe you were trying to say Tyrese maxey which is more understandable . Donovan Mitchell is an athletic freak and has a crazy wingspan with vertical @scottmuir6127
is it just me or does it feel like most of the players of this class fit the Miami Heat "culture" lol
TRISTEN SO LOW DAMN
you don’t got t flowers getting drafted?
What about Chase Hunter of Clemson? Nice pulls, some speed and athleticism, hustles, good looking shot, makes plays for others.
The similarities between your big board and mine are disturbing... We must have very similar view on things regarding basketball. The main difference is that I have Tyler Smith and Daron Holmes much higher than you, Risacher much lower (even though I'm French myself).
HOW DO U HAVE DALTON AT 10????????!!!! COME ON MAN....... HE'S THE ONLY PLAYER IN THIS DRAFT THAT IS LITERALLY NBA READY WITH NO PREP NEEDED......
Love your stuff, HI, but I have to call out a bad take when I see one. Calling Tyon Grant-Foster the best player on the floor against Alabama is such a bad take. He might be the better NBA prospect, but Mark Sears was 100 percent the better player, both in that game and throughout the year as a whole.
Heat should take Tristan Da Silva instead
Love your content, but having Clingan over Risacher, Castle, and Williams makes ZERO sense to me. I also would love to see a playoff-ready team swoop in to grab Knecht, he was born for big moments! Ware’s talent and athleticism seems pretty unique as well. Furphy totally disappeared in the tournament, I’ll pass on him in the first round. Tyler Smith and Ryan Dunn both seem like they can contribute from day 1 on good teams if they shore up their weaknesses.
I’m taking Zacharie over matas all day on my draft bord
Idk 😂they both look like potential bust 💯
@@pitoseavy4523 I’m just taking the one that looks less of a bust😂😂 weak ahh draft
@Justfranktbh uhhh based on what though?
sprus better go get edey dummy steal
Worst draft of the 2020s by far
Simply do not see it with Holland. The only G-League prospect in history who has worse shooting numbers than him (not just 3s, all jump shots) is Jonathan Kuminga. Even Scoot had better numbers, and he has really struggled to get his shot to fall in the NBA. Matas is also an extremely suspect prospect. He only converts 50% of his layups despite a pretty big height advantage over most players in the G-League and almost half of his shots in the regular season (148/317) occurring less than 5 feet from the rim.
Thank you I thought I was crazy for not seeing the rob holland hype, I see good role player at best he remind me of Derrick jones jr a bit or Andre igouldala but if everything works out I can see him being similar to herb jones or mikal bridges
@@Wrestle_Kingdom Andre Iguodala was fucking awesome, what you're telling me with that comp is you think Holland should definitely go #1.
@@scottwickett1273 absolutely not Andre igouldala was decent but nobody with star potential like people are saying plus I meant golden state warriors igouldala
How much of Matas issues are from the injury and recovery?
He was much better at the end of the season
@@scottwickett1273 iggy without the shooting or dunking lol
Clingan and flipkowski do not deserve to be this high… can they survive if you put them out on the perimeter on an island, how’s their passing ability? Clingans finishing at the rim during the tourney was not lotto worthy. See y’all boys in the G
In 5 years ain’t no way in hell someone will say they taking Clingan over castle. Very evident castle was the best NBA prospect on that squad
Filipowski is a really good passer, but I share your concerns.
@@VietnamvetOG Castle might also be Jarrett Culver if he doesn't shoot.
@@scottwickett1273 culver just don’t have that defensive motor as a pro maybe he had some injuries. I feel castle floor is Josh hart, Caruso, Suggs, d white type of player. His ceiling is a jimmy butler type player if he gets there offensively.
Rod Holland too high I think sf Frenchman is gonna go number one 2 Serbia player 3. Starr Frenchman 4 UConn center
Just lost all credibility having Terrance Shannon jr not even getting drafted that’s insane.. he EASILY should be a frp this year should be lottery right along with knect
The pending rape charge might have something to do with that.
Cody Williams biggest bust
I'm nervous about Holland's lack of feel for the game with taking him that high. If you tell me just draft on the potential I can see it but I highly doubt he will ever be a 1st or 2nd, maybe even 3rd guy on an elite contender.
That's my only issue is his shot & if he can't improve he might be one of those bust players who's athletic but can't shoot
Jalen Johnson din't have a jump shot at first he arrive to the nba now he has improved he can shoot If Jalen has improved on his offense Ron can improve his offense as well@@pitoseavy4523
@@pitoseavy4523 I feel like he could work even as just a below average shooter. But if he doesn’t know when to cut, how to drive and kick, he will be a total bust
@@sportsandstuff99was Andre Iguadola ever an elite shooter early in his career? That’s Ron’s comp, If there’s one thing you can improve when you become a pro hooper it’s your jump shooting. The kid is 18 years old, damn near a year younger than most of the other top prospects. You can’t-teach a dog mentality people have that toughness or they don’t.
@@VietnamvetOG Iguodala had incredible feel for the game even at Arizona. Ive seen no proof that Holland thinks the game even at an average level for a guy his age. I like Ron's intensity but that can only get you so far. He has bad tunnel vision on his drives. Once he's locked himself into doing something he lacks creativity if that is shut off. If his comp is Iggy and there is still a long way to go, im just saying thats not somebody you take at the 2nd pick. High bust potential and the ceiling is a super high end role player, idk about that.
This draft is grim man lol
🙂
