    Capt Willy you need to get some swag stuff made up. So that I can buy a coffee mug or T-Shirt. I don't drink coffee but can put my diet mtn dew in that one. Another great video, but this time I learned more about the wheel house and the container ships. Thank you Sir.

    RORO - Roll on/Roll off. Here in the port of LA/LB we have quite a few lines with RORO vessels. Some are car carriers, break bulk(large equipment and awkward sized cargo) and some are mixed container/bulk cargo like that one. Love watching your videos man, great content.

    This camera first camera angle is good for seeing how you manipulate the controls, but lacks the context provided by more of an out the front view. Perhaps if it were lowered a bit and then aimed up bit.
    I liked the second camera angle.

    • @tugboatwilly843
      @tugboatwilly843  Před 6 dny +1

      🤣😂🤣 Awesome! They are for water. So if we have to get close to a fire to put it out. You turn on the pump and it shoots out a mist that keeps the boat cool. Thanks for watching 🤙

  • @cpl_0503
    @cpl_0503 Před 7 dny +1

    Another great video, Quick question though: Why do they reposition a huge ship like that? Just the cost of running those engines and 2 tug boats for an hour or 2 has to be a fortune.

    • @andrewimray337
      @andrewimray337 Před 7 dny +2

      If I had to guess I'd suspect it's for the RORO cargo below the boxes, the 1st berth may not have been suitable for offloading

    • @tugboatwilly843

  • @2xKTfc
    @2xKTfc Před 7 dny +1

    Do you sometimes get orders to push all ahead full, or is it generally two-thirds at most so that the captain has reserves in case things goff the rails?

    • @tugboatwilly843
      @tugboatwilly843  Před 6 dny

      It all really depends on weather conditions and how the ship is handling. I don’t get to hook it up as much on this boat because it has a lot of power. But when I do 🤗

    • @2xKTfc
      @2xKTfc Před 6 dny

      @@tugboatwilly843 Haha that makes sense :) I imagine Carlos dances around the boat when you get to run full speed ahead: "Why are you dancing?" - "Captain you turned the music up!" 😅

    Morning Captain. Not to complain, but that angle you have the cam in. is no good. all we are viewing is the water and that is it. Left or right like you have been doing was the best view of everything. This movement would have really been good if the cam's was put lower right or left. And yes I know your just trying new locations for the cam. I just put my two cents in. Other than that. Keep up the great work on your show and tell videos. Row Row stands for Roll on, Roll off. I have a friend who is a mate on one of the ACL vessels. He is crew out of the Philippines, He went to the Philippines maritime academy. 🤙👍
