    Bidh 'ainm-san buan gu suthainn sìor,
    co-mhaireann ris a' ghréin;
    'Us annsan beannaichear gach slògh;
    's beannaichear leo e féin.
    Beannaicht' gu robh an Tighearn' Dia,
    Dia Israeil a ghnàth,
    An ti a mhàin 'ni mìorbhuile
    le treis 'us neart a làimh.
    Beannaicht' gu robh gu sìorruidh buan
    'ainm glòrmhor uasal féin ;
    Lìonadh a ghlòir gach uile thir,
    Amen, agus Amen !

    This must be kept alive. It should be taught in every school in Scotland. Scotland is a complicated place historically, but this so unique to us it should be preserved.

      Dont worry, scotts brought this to America hundreds of yrs ago and you can still hear it here in the south to this day. I grew up on these old tunes at my grandparents church...in english these days of course but yeah, its still alive and kicking among the descendants of those ancestors.

    To the tune Stornoway, the loveliest Gaelic psalm tune in it, imho.
