I absolutely love this song! It was the theme to my first bossfight in this game (against the Vagrant), and I'm always gonna associate it with that. It helps that I was so bad that the bossfight lasted until the coolest parts of the song.

Surface tension references some physics thingy that makes fluid like water stick around surfaces, most of the soundtrack contains references to water and sky phenomenom in their names.
