That foot moves like a Swiss watch.
No way a Swiss watch is that accurate. :-D
The tight crash of the snare was the definitive Van Halen sound. What an amazing drummer.
Alex Van Halen knows his stuff man. What a precise, powerful and fun drum player to listen to.
The brown sound.
Alexs snare sound is what Eddie was talking about when he describes the "brown" sound and not his guitar tone like most wanna believe.. good call
Sorry for your loss Alex 😔 😢 😞
Love that snare! 👍🏻
The Ludwig sound can't beat it
@@bartrobinson2103 Yeah, Ludwig really nailed it, it sounds so pleasing and musical, amazing instrument! 👍🏻
14" × 6.5" Supraphonic! Same one as Bonham.
Smacks you upside your head!!
It still doesn't sound like it "should" on this track. Dive Down is when we finally star hearing that sound
Best snare sound ever.
Anyone else hear the rough edit at 3:00?
There's a couple weird cuts and phase burps in there! Really interesting to hear.
On fair warning you can hear the the volume adjust lower on the drums right before Dave comes in I'm a kid it always bothered me that they actually left that in
This is awesome. Im here after watching Ben Ellers video about unchained.
Sick. Im gonna hafta use this for my own version of Unchained. Thank you!!
Lol. That's such an iconicly cool pic of all time of Al !🥁🥁🥁🎵🎶🎶🧨🔥🧨
One of the best!!
OMGsh. I want to have the same consistency. Thanks for sharing
Hully geez! I had know idea how complex Mr. Van Halen’s drumming is. This is helpful to someone learning the song on bass or guitar.
Heaven ❣️ I love Alex so much man f...

You should keep the guitars faded in the back of all of the songs you do. It would've helped with Barracuda...but thanks for all of these videos! LOVE THEM ALL!!
The reason the guitar is “faded” is because that’s the actual guitar being picked up by the drum mics and bleeding through during the recording
It's "crosstalk" on the master tape from the loud guitar tracks being physically close enough to the drum tracks that it printed some guitar to the drums. If you jam enough signal onto a track on tape, it will spill over to the ones next to it. So, it's actually bleed from the tape itself in this case.
Engineers used to try to put all the tracks as far from each other as possible on the final mix to minimise this crosstalk. In the modern day, printing to hard drives instead of tape, it isn't necessary.
По нотам и я смогу!))
Уверен, что ты и без нот сможешь ))
Is this 140 bpm? trying to program my drum machine
Ciao, mi diresti come si isola e si regola la batteria dei brani?
Hey. Raramente isola le tracce, utilizzo principalmente multitraccia e tracce già isolate.
@@drum_tracks ok, grazie mille 😉
how do you count that middle section, before the chorus?
You don't count it, son... You feel it!
Son?

What program was used to isolate the drums?
These are tracks from the GH game.
Thank you!@@drum_tracks
