Thanks for this tutorial. My first attempt, which I just finished, looks surprisingly good. I make my own cabochons and have been looking into wire wrapping as a possible finish. I'm hoping to wire wrap a rose quartz heart that I made with sterling silver wire. My biggest issue is that with 18 wires = 36 wire ends, quite a few ended up facing in a direction that would scratch the wearer's chest/shirt. Do you ever apply some sort of coating to the back, like silicone? Or do I just really need to develop the expertise in tucking away those scratchy wire ends?

I have not used any sort of smoother on the back and like to tuck all the wires in individually. I find they stay put in position so if you can get them tucked well they should stay there 🤞🌼
