I got to see The Higsons perform 3 times in NYC. Great gigs! Lots of energy. The band were also lurking at an outdoor Elvis Costello gig at The Pier. Guess they were hanging in NYC for a few days between gigs. At the Costello gig, The Higsons made their way upfront, then sang along with "Alison", they were basically making fun of Costello. The Higsons groupies, accompanying them that night, were quite sad looking. The obscure things I remember. I wonder if they remember doing this!
Does anyone notice the resemblance between Switch (Charlie) and the early Police era, Sting ? Even down to the accents, though Sting's was real, he's been using a faux posh accent since leaving The Police.. I just dug up my old Higsons records, "Take It" was also a good underrated song. They were always great live. Charlie doesn't sound too good here, but the three times I saw them, the entire band was excellent.
So glad I got to see them live. I miss those days :(

I had the 7 inch 45 of "Run Me Down." Great song from an under rated band. The bass player is king bad.

Charley definitely made the right career choice. His singing was truly awful! love him as a comedy writer and performer.
