True point to not invest in penny stocks. Many beginners think that you get more stocks with short money if you buy penny stocks. But look at the percentage of value increase in penny stocks. Say for example you buy 100 penny stocks at 10 rs per stock and the increase by 10 rs in a month then you will earn 1000 rs overall and stock price is increased by 100 %. But if you buy 100 rs stock (total 10 stocks) and it increased with 20 rs (by just 20%) then you earned 200 rs as profit. Now beginner think it's just 200 rs, but note that it just need 20% increase in value for stock which is quite possible to happen. But penny stock need 100% increase and that is rarely going to happen. So, always note percentage increase in stock values rather than absolute numbers. I have experienced losses by investing in VI as first investment and hence telling here.
