I resigned from an internship in a big MNC today. It may sound odd to you but I got a different role instead of the data science role which they clearly mentioned in the job description. It would be foolish,if I continued to stay in that internship doing mediocre jobs (like converting functions from one language to another, adding docstring, to functions, etc). Even after continuously reminding them about my interest in different field they didn't care to shift me another project. On top of that, the team didn't like me at all as i was taking some time to adjust with their pace of work. They were professional when they were messaging me for task but during call they showed their real frustration.
Hi, I'm leaving my company next week. I'm socially awkward and it's hard for me to alk to people, but it is jot impossible for me to talk to other people. It's just i need some preparation. I watched your videos and saw about the farewell letter, well in my case i think it's very awkward for me to put a farewell letter on each desk (because we're in a free coworking space, no assigned sit), is it weird if i talk to each of my colleagues (maybe i'll talk personally to the people i'm closely related too)? Is it okay if i say my goodbyes when i'm about to go home (i have a routine where i always call each and one of my coworkers name to say goodbye for the day)? Can you help give me some suggestions or opinions about my case?

Would you recommend sending thank you notes even if you are continuing part time with the company after your internship?
