An honorable mention not many people know about: in Blackstar's novella, when he's killing Rosetail in battle, she's defending the nursery and doesn't stand a chance against him and he attempt to kill her, watching her twitching feebly and after a few seconds he decides to end her suffering. This is that scene:
"With a desperate swipe, Blackfoot drew his claws across the elder's throat. She gave a choking gasp and fell to her knees, red blood spreading quickly across her chest. Behind her, the kits in the nursery shrieked in terror.
ShadowClan needs this.
Feeling sick but determined, Blackfoot dragged the elder away from the nursery entrance. She was still breathing, short, labored breaths. But her eyes were glazed. She was dying. Yeah Honeyferns death is described very dramatical and detailed. In the German books her final words are: "help me, my blood is burning" and those words creeped me out😂

No it wasn’t, because it had later said he was able to see out of his eye again after it healed. I remember being surprised reading that because I’d thought he would be blind in that eye. The fur has just grown back over the scratch marks, not the entire eye socket.

Actually the most disturbing scene for me was Honeyferns death. I listened to the audiobook and fell asleep. At the scene where she became bitten by the snake I slowly woke up and the scene kinda mixed with my dreams and I saw the scene in my inner eye in a really bizzare way. I remember how I got shivers from that and startet to became really scared, especially because the scene is described very traumatically and detailed

One that i always found crazy morbid was when wetkit and brownkit accidentally killed mosspaw during a "training session" under brokenstar, and were APPRENTICED EARLY for it. Can you imagine?? Two kits accidentally kill a young shadowclan apprentice and brokenstar rewards them by making the kits into young shadowclan apprentices themselves. *_WILD._*

Personally i think that memory and the way he grew up with stuff like that being so normalized was probably at least part of what led him down the path of a medicine cat vs the path of a warrior.

FINALLY SOMEONE IS TALKING ABOUT JACKDAWS CRY AND FALLING FEATHER!!! I feel like it is a moment that should be talked about more. The themes are just amazing and the fact that they forgave each other later is just so cute
Exactly?!? Nobody ever talks about it. I was so shocked reading it because it was written so morbidly and well! It’s really poetic the fact that two siblings who were once very close killed eachother in cold blood like that. It was so detailed, it made me feel sick. It had said that Jackdaw’s Cry bit her neck and she put her head up and screeched loudly and Gray Wing could hear her neck snap, then she slouched over dead a second after screeching. Then Jackdaw’s Cry stared at her under him for a moment before collapsing on top of her back, dead. Then Gray Wing and Clear Sky went back to fighting, like they were. It was just so tragic.
I'm glad someone finally put Toad's death in credit. I remember the first time I read it I was mortified by the scene. To think these books are meant to be for children still amazes me sometimes.

I remember reading about Swiftpaw and Brightpaw being mauled by the pack. It was already dark and I was lying in bed, reading "A Dangerous Path", and by the time I finished the book I was shivering and trembling, hiding under my blanket. I will never forget how horrifying that was.

Star the shine on water’s death was very disturbing, especially how they described it

Sharptooth in general was a scary opponent. When he attacked the cave, he was moving so fast that he almost seemed omnipresent. Really emphasized the *speed* of a mountain lion and how everyone was hopelessly outclassed.
Sootfur deserves an entire funeral and apology from us all. This boy deserves better.

This isn't particularly disturbing, but one of the saddest things I've ever seen in Warriors was in Bluestar's Prophecy when Snowfur dies and Bluefur has to go to Whitekit, and he's just so confused. The line "does she not love me anymore?" brought tears to my eyes
In the scene where Fireheart and Sandstorm find Swiftpaw and Brightheart.
The line "great Starclan, what did this to him" still sends shivers down my spine.
Snowkit getting taken away and Brightheart's face getting torn to shreds really disturbed me, honestly. I feel like the first books had the scariest deaths and injuries.
I know I remember being 9 YEARS OLD and the books scared me because I had a good imagination of what it looked like.😱
The tortured ghosts was awful and I did not like it, that was disturbing. ShadowStar and Quietrain(nvm it’s Quickwater)death was disturbing. ShadowStar slit quietrain stomach open and then quietrain clawed her throat. They were both laying there dieing and another cat was trying to hold ‘the peices of quietrain’s stomach together begging her not to die’.
I forgot about that. How brutal that scene was 😬

When I read about Falling Feather and Jackdaw's Cry killing each other, I literally bawled. It's really tragic that their groups were driven to fight, and then they were driven to kill each other. :C

Honestly I found Tigerstar's death kind of funny as a kid. I could see the horror from a cat's perspective, watching essentially a blessing from the gods be destroyed with a single strike as Tigerstar suffers agony beyond their imagining, but it was still Tigerstar. I feared Scourge for sure, but mostly I just enjoyed the karma.
Then I realized something that made the scene /hilarious/.
Imagine Scourge's perspective here. He doesn't believe in Starclan; man has no context. He's killed his tormentor, made his declaration to the clans he so despises...oh, guess that guy's not dead yet. Okay, he's definitely dead now. No, he's wheezing again. And he just. keeps. dying. How much blood does this guy even HAVE? That's enough for four cats and counting!
So he's sitting there silently baffled for like. Five whole minutes. While dozens of cats have an existential crisis.
Curlfeather.. I was shocked honestly. The way that she was shrieking in agony but still trying to yell out her warning to Frostpaw. And for Frostpaw to be able to do nothing but watch and hear her mother get ripped to shreds under her was gross. I started to cry for her when she couldn’t take hearing or seeing her mother dying anymore that she tried to cover her ears with her paws, and squeeze her eyes shut, but kept almost slipping off the branch, so she had to take her paws off her ears and grip onto the branch. And everything right before that was going so positive for her. Poor baby had been so stressed trying to find a new leader, but she finally got relief when her mother would be the new leader. She was so close to Curlfeather and knew she’d have a great leader who would love and protect her. And she was TOO YOUNG to be stressing like that. So I was glad when she got some relief. But then ONE MINUTE LATER, she’s back to being more stressed than ever! The bloodbath that was her mother’s death will affect her for the rest of her life, and she now had to go BACK to choosing a new leader and helping Mothwing with Starclan business but now with the added thing of no longer having her mother’s love and support, dealing with her grief, AND trying to figure out what the hell Curlfeather’s ominous warning of “trust no cat” entailed, therefore making her paranoid. I really feel for Frostpaw. She’s just a KID. She was so full of life and enthusiastic, but she’s had to quickly deal with so much death, gore, grief, and mainly a massive responsibility thrown onto her. She’s such a tragic character already.
I feel so bad for frostpaw. I just finished sky and it doesn't get much better for her :(

As much as I’m a warrior cats lover who’s read all the books, The way the spirits were described in Darkness Within, sent chills down my spine.

I literally just re-read past this point and couldn’t remember how he died until it happened and - omg- the internal cringing reading about him trying to escape on broken legs only to keep falling back down…. Even as an adult going back to the books, and most not hitting that level, god I felt for Sootfur for his death…
I found it quite melancholy how Jackdaws Cry and Falling Feather dueled each other in battle for the leader position of their clan, but quickly upscaled into a fight to the death for honor.
Also Warriors can be so sad to the point of full on crying sometimes :(

So, it's like chapter 1 or 2 of Leopardstar's Honor. Her Super Edition book. Chronologically it contains info from Arc 1-2. Mostly Arc 1. So you could read it right now. Bellow i spoil a small chunk of the early story. But it explains what you asked.
Basically Leopard kit gets spoiled by her clan mates cus her mom & siblings died. Sky kit gets jealous & holds Leopardkit's head under water & than says some pretty fucked up stuff for a kit. Mentally scaring Leopardkit to be TERRIFIED of water & hampers her growth as a Riverclan apprentice. @@Eastonthemoth

We don’t even know if snowkit died, do we now? He may have escaped and became a loner. Bettlewhisker’s death was disturbing tho, I remember I was reading it in the middle of the night and I literally almost ran out of the house, no joke
As well as Rainswept Flower’s death. That scene in The First Battle made me so sad.. I loved her a lot and the way that Clear Sky brutally killed her, after those years of being close friends and tribe mates.. wow. She would even take care of him when he was a kit. And as she’s dying and he’s staring down at her, he said one of my favorite lines from Warriors, “I’m not greedy.. just strong.” which really just sums up Clear Sky’s character. It was so tragic. Not to even mention the rest of the deaths in that book. Because it was so BRUTAL and WELL WRITTEN. Frost, Turtle Tail, Jackdaw’s Cry, Falling Feather, and Clear Sky and Gray Wing fighting and Clear Sky almost killing him.

Reedfewther was a WindClan warrior who had a relationship with a RiverClan shecat named Fallowtail. RiverClan and WindClan keep stealing the kits from each other and in anger, hailstar pushes his head under the water until he begs for mercy and releases him. Ashfur hated Lionpaw and was abusive and ruthless in their training sessions resulting in Ashfur trying to kill him

Longtail being blinded by a rabbit was horrifying the rabbit literally put his hind legs on Longtail and straight up scratched them and Cloudtail and Brackenfur couldn’t do anything to help him all they had to do was watch also Brokenstar training kits for battles is so terrifying he trained them at 3 moons and at 5 moons to battle as you can even see Bagderfang said “Are you proud of us yet Brokenstar”

Something that disturbed me in the series was broken stars training. There was one moment in yellowfangs secret when brokenstar made an apprentice hang from a tree branch with their teeth. I can’t remember which apprentice, but I believe it was because he failed to get a good grip on a pice of prey. Yellowfangs secret was so disturbing, but I kinda want at least a novella about brokenstar and what the heck went through his head. I know he was a punishment from starclan, but I think the punishment had a mind of its own

A pack of cats and suddenly a group of bad cats come and start killing the ,,queen" cats babies because she wont mate with the bad cats leader, so the leader grabs her baby and kills it on the spot, she starta crying- skip all the drama and two of her kittens are like running to safety away from this bad cat, theyre at like the mountains and the aiblings tells his brother to run ahead without him and he'll be following behind him soon; you then hear a blood curdling scream and the younger sibling runs back to find his brother, only to discover his brothers headless body.... That traumatized me so hard and i cant find the video, im looking for it hard rn 😭😭
I think star that shines on water's death is also very disturbing not just her death but the scene the Erin's discribe with it. If no one remembers she was a kit mother in the tribe killed by sharptooth before feather tails death in moonrise.

Bluestars, yellowfangs, tallstars and bramblestars. ( tallstars, and yellowfangs I read from my local library then later brought, and I own the other two books)

The fact wcue isn’t in real life but it still gives me the chills-
I honestly feel bad for Flametail's death, he literally fell into a lake that had freezing water and Jayfeather tried saving him but someone (idk who) pulled Jayfeather back up and Flametail drowned.
I think Moon shadow's death and the whole forest fire in dawn of the clans were pretty disturbing. Like, his fur and flesh burnt and he died later because of the wounds and the cats had to jump over the fire. And I don't fully remember but i'm pretty sure that also Grey wing's fur set on fire and he got astma for breathing smoke.
So almost the whole book was a lot...
