When I was physically and verbally bullied in school by everyone and my parents were fighting and yelling at each other, so basically when I had no one even my best friend left me and everyone around me would avoid me, ignore me, laugh and whisper abound me, stare at me, harass me, through all that I listened to this song and I kept my head up high.
thanks because this is what helped me accept what was happening because I was emotionally shut down, fed up, shocked, panicky, had anxiety, I would say depression but I think I do have bipolar because of the severe lows and highs I get (can’t really diagnose myself) but it doesn’t help when everything around you is a war zone, you can’t escape it if you tried.

Imagine listening to this while chilling on the beach and you just realised that you're not heading home, you're at it.
I mixed for a youth event the night before discovering this song. Drove out to a new outlet mall in Tucson, I wanted to look for some new shoes. I walk into Shoe Palace and "Lean On" was just ending I told my wife "Hey! I started with this track last night!" Poor girl's been listening to my nonstop mixing haha! Then this song starts and I thought… man this sounds pretty alright to me. I'm shopping around and then that subtle but intensely emotional build up kicks in and now I'm going berserk! I was like "NO FREAKING WAY WHAT IS THIS IS OUTSTANDING!" I'm getting into it, wife is getting worried and people are starting to look. My phone had died and I wanted to ask Siri to Shazam the song! I look at my wife and yell "BABE I NEED YOUR PHONE!" No questions she just coughs it up fast as she can. Held down the home button, Siri-ed the song and I'm just staring at the screen… "Heading Home" I was simply at a lose to some deep connection trance with this song… feels great. Absolutely bliss…

This song played when I was with my best friend which I saw like only 2 times a year. He didn't seem to appreciate the moment and sure enough, our friendship ended 2 years after, when he met new people who were more popular than me at the time.
