This is well put together...I love the overhook in MMA (mostly to avoid getting pucned in the face) and I can't wait to play with these subs. I knew the triangle and omaplata from there, but the armlocks and modified pendulum sweep is new to me.
yeah i notice the higher belts dnt let me angle out for the triangle when i overhook so that little knee grab on the pants to prevent looks handy. I'll try it, and that sweep is OP! Gotta try that too
I'm a white belt 3 and I'm trying to figure out my game plan for competitions you know I think I might have found it the overhook seems like it's only good for triangles but its not you can do kimuras, arm in guillotines, Cross collar chokes, omoplata, shoulder locks, Americanas, I've even seen a gogoplata or two get pulled off from here it's an incredibly diverse position
I tried this and my opponent used his free arm to pin my head/neck against the ground with his forearm. I couldn't control his arm because both my hands were momentarily tied up as I setup collar grip after underhook. Any suggestions?
This series is great. Lots of contingencies to the potential reactions from the opponent once the overhook is established.
Love the detail on the second triangle setup when u use ur far leg to hook their arm. I've been using that and it's a very strong position
Great content for people who understands~
The Tozi counter is excellent! Thanks for sharing as the over hook from closed guard is my favorite.
Great content. Thanks for sharing

Maybe try opening the guard and putting the feet on the hips and create space that way.
