I think the actual maximum was approx GB that the MV would see. Now it looks like that's been myth busted! Please re-do video at a much shorter length and share just the exact steps on how to get a mega drive in the MV. Thanks!
yo, most probably u have a unit built before june 2008, they were shipped out without capacitators on the motherboard, wich left the usb useless. fear not though, if you call youre local roland servicecenter, they`ll send u the disassembly guide, you take that to a local technician, have him open it and add capacitators to the board, for relatively cheap. Roland service center will know when youre unit was produced by the serial number. i will make an in-depth video on this when my mv is fixed
ogamiitto77 Thanks for the info. You can also buy and use a rasberry pi3 running linux on it and connect you MV-8800 to it and connect a usb thumb drive to it and tranfer files that way. the rasberry pi3 is only $40 plus $10 more for a case for the rasberry pi3

It comes up as removeable Disc f not mv8800 harddrive i tryied a new usb wire
