He's way too pure hearted in canon; there had to be a balance somewhere
Actually, Al's just a little bit more out of pocket in the manga compared to the anime, only because they had to cut back some of his spicer comments for time or context.
If you recall Al's comments when they tried to kidnap him in Dublith ("I'll just have to make you tell me," or something along those lines) just a bit more of that sprinkled throughout
What I love is some of these responses are so lore accurate! Scars' fuck you to Bradley was a perfect response.
That, Olivier's "flowers suck ass" and "I'm going to go take the longest, hottest fucking show ever" are totally in character.
I 100% positive that if envy knew about Scooby Doo, they would totally make that stupid fucking joke

The Shakeweight bit has to be my favorite. It´s so incredibly stupid yet feels so on point with the out of context scene. I can see an entire Abridged show running this joke with this closing Scars personal story ark.
Same. Scar training up since the Ishvallan war by purchasing every tv fitness gimmick you see and actually making them work sounds perfect for an abridged series.

I still think my favorite blooper is “I’m trying to save your life, asshole!” Because it feels like it could be said in the moment for real. Also, Al cussing is hilarious.
Alphonse's "F*CK YEAH!" never fails to put a smile on my face. So does every other blooper, but that one takes the cake.
I love that the whole "I think we should try to bring mom back" part basically rewrites the story in such a way that, just like Father, they didn't learn anything in the end.

Things I've learned from these bloopers:
-Scar's VA is based.
-Al's VA is a little shit (affectionate).
-When he messes up a line, Alex's VA will just start saying words until he can't say words anymore.
-EVERYONE IS HORNY FOR GREED!
It is really great that we have Winry and Hohenheim trying to get it on with Greed, while Ed is literally fighting Greed off. They manage to set up an actual love triangle with Winry, Ed and Greed... With Ed's father as a weirdo on the side of the triangle.
I wish more series and movies released their bloopers like what Monster inc and FMA did

I would give anything to see you react to the 4 - Koma Theatre bits they dubbed. You can find a good amount of them on CZcams. A channel called "ALRIGHT ANIME!" has the first couple of them in a row, though the full theatre goes through the full FMAB series. Seriously wish there was somewhere online where you could see all of them.

Bloopers are always fun. If you want even MORE Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood there are OVA's which are really good.
There is also the HILARIOUS Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood koma theater shorts.
Both of these have been dubbed as well.
There is a movie but the style is so different, it's not bad but to me it give off a different vibe. (I forget its name, i know its NOT conquer of shambala since thats connected to the original FMA.)
I'm sure it won't be a hugely popular request for a next show to go through, but Final Space is something that definitely deserves more attention and I think you'd really enjoy.
The creator, Olan Rogers, is a CZcamsr as well who's done a lot of really funny storytelling in the past (most notably his Ghost in the Stalls video)
In terms of what the show's like, it's kinda like Rick and Morty, but with a lot more heart and a lot less cynicism. Also just about every character will give you a "THEY'RE BABIES" moment lmao. It also has maybe one of the most believable character growth arcs I've seen in a show, where they don't completely change as a person but actively improve and get better.
There was a pilot released on CZcams a few years before it was picked up and made into a full show, not unlike Hazbin Hotel, but I'd say it's not as crucial to get into the show as Hazbin's pilot imo.
If there's another show that I'd love to see your reaction to, except maybe the rest of Legend of Korra but that's its own thing haha, if you haven't seen Steven Universe or Tuca and Bertie those would both be fun to go through with you too lol.
If live action stuff isn't off the table Pushing Daisies and Letterkenny would be fun too, especially the former with your fiancée. It's by far the most romantic thing I've ever seen lmao.
Still would recomend the 4Koma episodes. Even just Roys rap would be good

The one line with scar sounds more like "your face asplode," which would make it a reference to strong bad emails; a series of flash cartoons that were popular back in the early oughts.

There's also a few shorts I think. There's definitely one of how Izumi and Sig met and it's very funny.
I would recommend that if you want more FMA there is always the 2003 original series with the movies. It isn't "manga accurate" in the second half, but the first half is. FMA: Brotherhood is actually pretty inaccurate in the first half because it assumes you've seen the first series. It also has a darker and more serious tone with a greater emphasis on the "Law of Equivalent Exchange". What that translates to is . . . "these babies are gonna get hurt." So, if you liked Edward and Al getting a happy ending this would be the exact opposite. I just like it because it sticks to the core themes a bit more whereas Brotherhood gets a bit too "fairy tale" near the end.
Definitely. I'd love to see her react to the original. I actually recent went through the original series and it holds up pretty nicely, but boy does it get dark in some parts.
@@Kalmana The "lighting" goes a long way towards helping that. There is also the fact that it just leans into the messed up nature of some of those moments a lot more. Namely, "Mom" looks significantly scarier in the original and the entire episode depicting their attempted resurrection was just . . . dark as hell.
@austinkersey2445 oh absolutely, the lighting does wonders for the original. But we can't forget how some of the scenes played out are a lot better than in brotherhood IMHO. Like with Tucker, how he is just so calm during the entire confrontation and basically cites his reasoning as "one way or another my life was over, so I wanted to see if I could...and I could."
