  • Various shots of Amtrak Northeast Regional and Acela trains as well as the Vermonter on the section of the Northeast Corridor near the Hell Gate Bridge.
    1. The first shot is of Northeast Regional train #190 to Boston on the viaduct over Wards/Randalls Island between the Hell Gate bridge and the small bridge that crosses over the Bronx kill. This was filmed on the pedestrian walkway of the Bronx span of the RFK Triborough bridge.
    2. Vermonter train #56 to Saint Albans, Vermont is seen passing over the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard NYC Subway station in Queens as it approaches the Hell Gate Bridge.
    3. Acela train #2150 to Boston is seen crossing the Hell Gate bridge heading for the Bronx & Westchester. Taken on Wards Island the base of the bridge.
    3. Acela train #2151 to Washington is seen crossing the Hell Gate bridge into Astoria, Queens. The line will then curve southwest and join the LIRR main line at Harold Interlocking in Sunnyside, Queens. Taken on Wards Island the base of the bridge.
    4. Just before sunrise, Northeast Regional train #190 to Boston is seen crossing the Hell Gate bridge with a panoramic view. Taken on the pedestrian walkway of the Queens span of the RFK Triborough Bridge.

Amtrak trains back and forth across the Hell Gate, that's all fine and dandy, you know what I would like to see, some Metro-North New Haven Line trains back and forth across the Hell Gate into and out of New York Penn Station when MNRR Penn Station Access comes to fruition, oh yeahhhh!!!

The shorter train must be 66, and the last train is actually 170.

Shorter train is Vermonter train 56. 66 doesn’t run during the day. The last train I filmed is 190 when it left NYP at 6:50am.
