    Dan is a genius, I bought the pro, its been a lot of fun using it over the winter... for 100 dollar training aid you get access to the coach now group where u and other can post videos and interact with Dan. There is a ton of content on there and great information. Dan is very active there as well answering questions etc. This has helped me with the insane HIT impulse I have from the top... teaches you restraint to get it to sling first.... then u can use that sling to strike and object.

      That’s good you get other stuff besides a grip with a rope through it and a dog toy tied on the end 😂. You could make one for $12 assuming the grip was $10.

    David Lee, who wrote “Gravity Golf,” had another name for “The Sit” -this offsetting, backward movement that facilitates angular momentum: He called it “The counter-fall.”

  • @Kinny202
    @Kinny202 Před 3 lety +7

    I’d only add one thing - once at the top of the backswing, and you begin the sit, make sure to leave your hands up high and you’ll feel strain in your shoulder
    Continue holding it up there through the sit and at some point, just relax your shoulders and the club will fly right through

  • @lencavallaro6781
    @lencavallaro6781 Před rokem +2

    A lot of his concepts remind me of Mike Malaska. They get there with different thought processes, but both talk about momentum and advise not to think in terms of trying to turn the hips.

    This is why I never teach sailing in a catamaran. Like a golf club, a catamaran goes fast in any direction with any force on the Main and Tiller. You can learn very littl, if anything, about those forces in a catamaran. This "soap on a rope" device is pure genius because it's like sailing a small keelboat with the tiller and main sheet forces exactly correlating to what the boat will do.

  • @adamhazelwood5282
    @adamhazelwood5282 Před 3 lety +1

    This is a wonderful video. I've been working on this move of late to significant effect. If you can combine the sit with allowing your arm/club unit to drop naturally from the top; it's incredible the momentum you can attain.

    "training your brain to react to angular momentum"...as a physics guy this resonates with me. I'm ordering it today, so let's see if this sparks some 'aha' feelings in the swing.

    When I perform the sit move correctly, I notice 2 things:
    1.Massive increase in unconscious clubhead speed
    2.The downswing happens so fast,that I'm through impact before I realise it.
    This could be the SECRET!!!
    Thanks Dan.
