    I believe that she is dealing with depression you did a great job there is an issue

    • @KrissypooHairView

      I appreciate ❤️, yep she was depressed and I tried my hardest to be very understanding and usually when get a client that’s going through it in life I am very understanding and make sure that I give them a sense of escape when they come to the salon. I have clients that are non verbal with their depression ( in which once I see the non-verbal, i respect it and allow them to have that silence in their appointment), I have verbal ( I’d be their lended ear and allow them to be able to get their thoughts out and if they want feed back I would). But if a client chooses to use their depression as an attack response, or use me as another punching bag to dump on, I will always repell that energy real quick, because I know how infectious toxic depression is. Lol, yep that’s the type of energy that was being relayed in that appointment, toxic depression and I refused to enable it.

    My grandmother was a beautician and she washed and pressed my hair every 2 weeks. I have very thick 4C hair and the struggle was real. After a few pops on the head with the brush and pressing those edges and kitchen with the back of the straightening comb and all of that heat, she had no problems with me. If you are that tender headed, then do your own hair! You did a phenomenal job on her hair!

    Detangling is definitely an extra fee. Sometimes it can take 30min to an hr. (If not more) especially when the service provided is maximum 1hr to 2hrs. If it take anything longer ….YESSSS YOU’RE GOING TO PAY FOR MY TIME… period!!!

    Hey Krissy! You appear to be compassionate and patient. You remained calm, but assertive. Even with that said, some people can push that to a limit, as displayed in your video. This video was golden and necessary. It really made good content.

    I commented early but girl the struggle is real. At the end of the day you can’t make everyone happy and that’s ok. People have expectations that’s non existent especially when they don’t hold themselves accountable. We are not miracles workers

    You are good. I'm a hair assistant and it is hard sometimes dealing with the public. Ppl want you to make miracles happen. She knew her hair was a problem for herself. So what did she expect for you to do. You were very patient with her. Keep up the great work!!!

    At least you’re attentive to your clients. I actually had to excuse myself from a hairstylist because she kept pulling on my hair several times. I asked her over and over again to stop braiding my hair very tight, but she kept going on. I asked her how much was she charging for the hair wash and she said $10. I requested that she stop the service and I paid her washing of my hair and left out!!

      @KrissypooHairView  Před 3 měsíci +2

      I’m glad that you did that❤️, I always tell my clients and even first time clients that at the end of the day, you’re paying for this service and it is your head. If it’s not comfortable or the service has taken another direction that wasn’t intended you have all right to stop and set those boundaries.

    I retired from being behind the chair last year after 25 years, and the stories I could tell!🤦🏽‍♀️ And I never thought to charge a fee for defanging..that is genius! But yes, you made a good point saying that stylist have been a client, but how often has a client been a stylist. And if they tried it out for a couple of weeks, like you stated, that will be a game changer! Great vlog🫶🏽

    You really made an effort to complete it. At the end a day you were right. My daughter set me up to get my hair cut off instead of a trim. Looking at all my 37:31 hair on the floor, I didn't know I had that much hair. It grew back,but I never will go to one of her hairdressers again. ijs

    Yes the stylist should be informed about the condition of your hair and be compensated if they have to detangle for more than 15 mins. Highly dense hair can take A LOT of time if it severely tangled.

    Your expression at 8:33 had me 😂😂😂. A nonexistent regimen (on the clients part), which results in a matted mess and unfunking their matted moldy hair should definitely equate to more money for the stylists time, energy and effort. They gone learn today. 💰💵

    As someone who suffers from chronic depression due to sickle cell disease Her nerve & spirit is nasty very vindictive she knew what she was doing. I at the least detangle my hair and my 6yr olds 4B waist length hair before service. It would be different if she prepared you, was honest & was willing to pay for her lack of sanitation! I saw you breathing praying to God. Keep that light about you Love Let NOTHING block your light. She had dark energy

    I went into a salon told them I just took braids I warned the stylist hey I just took out braids it still may need some help I did as much as I could in the time frame. (Mind you I know my hair really soft once you start it will be right) she was like I’m going to have to charge this and that fussing I’m like ok 🤷🏾‍♀️🤨. Guess what she was like you where right your hair wasn’t bad I’m not going to charge you. Don’t compare me to others I was just letting you know just in case

    • @KrissypooHairView
      @KrissypooHairView  Před 3 měsíci

      Yep I completely understand, ☺️, as well as I do understand her informing to you that it would be a charge because sometimes we might not know what the hair may do before getting our hands in the client’s hair. She should’ve went about it in a better tone. Usually if the client tells me that, and I do bring up the charge, I usually let them know that hey, it (may) be a charge depending on the time frame stated in the service menu.

    I hate to see an adult act like a child! It is a person’s responsibility to let the stylist know what they have been doing to their hair before a service. When she said that she always goes to a stylist I knew that she had either left some braids in or a wig on for way too long a period of time. But it is sad that ANYONE over the age of 16 cannot decently maintain their hair for a short period of time. I wonder if mothers have stopped mothering their children or what is going on in the world! I assume that her sister had a good experience because she recommended you to her?!

    • @KrissypooHairView
      @KrissypooHairView  Před 3 měsíci +2

      I appreciate it ❤️It’s tuff sometimes seeing grown clients in this situation but there are times in life where hair does take a back seat. It could be from depression, postpartum, etc. and I’m very understanding to it. But the issue that I have with clients like in this situation is that you know that it is a depression situation or whatever the case, but you choose to have a wall up and try to drag me down into that negative space. I refuse to enable (that) type of behavior. Be honest with me, let me know that you’re going through it mentally and allow me to help better my part of the situation for you. Lol, girrlll it be crazy sometimes 😅

    This is unfortunately why we have to implement a detangling clause. Come with your hair detangled or reschedule.

    • @KrissypooHairView
      @KrissypooHairView  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Facts, I agree, and I’m okay with detangling, clients just have to add it on because natural hair is in its own category when it comes to detangling and must allow for the time frame to prevent from going past the appointed schedule.
