    Hey Greg, I know a way to put dwg straight into edm with all drawing information, it is much easier and faster and life changing on-site, you put it as a reference file ,I use ts16, message back if you want details

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  Před 2 lety

      Might be good for TS16, I personally wouldn't add all drawing as I like to prepare it keeping only what I need if setting out. I was bringing drawings as a background drawings too, but as I said I really like to prepare the drawing and still keep the printed ones all the time with me 😁
      Thank you and please write how to do it so other guys can use it 👍👍

      @@SITENG it's great honestly, u make a new job, then you go into job properties and there press page until you get to reference files, make sure USB is plugged in with the dwg, then tick the dwg you want to use and press add, then store it. Now to use it to set out u click on the line or point you want in 3d viewer and then hold it on the touch screen until the menu comes up and press import

      I use AutoCAD a lot, but BB is great too. I use BB mostly for mark-ups, AutoCAD with Total Station and to measure accurately. Obviously when working with drawings as PDFs these I open in BB

    Hi Greg I’ve been following your page for a while now and you have inspired me to get into engineering. How can I go about this without a degree in engineering? Is there any courses available that employers accept? Thank you and keep up the good work 👊🏽

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! There are some courses available like surveying in construction etc and they are CITB certified so you can get a white card after and this shows your qualifications. Then you have to look for an assistant/junior engineer role when you'll get the experience, once you're comfortable with setting out, no one later ask you for degree etc, if you're good that's it 😁 I worked with many good engineers with no degree and no courses, most of them worked in construction and asked, or was asked to help engineer 😁

      You’ve been a great help. I thought I was at a dead end but you’ve relieved my anxiety, thank you so much. I’m also qualified in H&S Nebosh level 3 construction, would you say it’s worth going for the national diploma or better to just gain experience on site? Keep up the good work brother 👍🏽

      Hi! You have to look for sponsorship as this is the way now to get a job legally in UK. There is a need for engineers, but you have to go through all the process of getting permit to work in UK which is not that easy. Keep looking and all the best 👍👍
