A rubber sole is more comfortable and used for a lot of walking. So, if you're going to be doing a lot of walking, then a rubber sole should be your choice. Additionally, a lot of walking with a leather sole is going to require replacement sooner than later.
I would say it depends on where you live. For example, I lived in London for 12 years and I mostly wore rubber soles because of the weather. But if the weather is nice, I would prefer leather soles because it’s dressier and lighter.

And it needs to STOP. A T shirt is NOT for dress and doesn't belong under a sport coat. Males, not gentlemen who wear T shirts with sport coats are just too damn lazy to dress properly. All the rage?? Have some standards. A properly dressed gentleman DOESN'T COMPROMISE.

I personally prefer wearing solid t-shirts in the summertime under linen jackets. But I would not suggest wearing t-shirts under more elegant jackets.
