Thanks for putting this video together! I did this to my IBM floppy drive last night, and it was a night-to-day difference. No more read errors and the drive is super silent now. woohoo!
My XT's drives just stopped working yesterday, so will have to do this as well. Never done this so hope I don't fuck up 😅 I also plan to clean the R/W heads. Can you use 99% isopropanol or is that too aggressive for the heads?
