I just ordered a 67' Skywing Edge PNP. I use a spektrum ar637t receiver, the normal one with as3x and two antennas. Are there any signal reception problems with the carbon fuselage? Do you advise me to get a satellite for the receiver? Last question... out of the box the bec of the Hobbywing esc should be sufficient, do you recommend a separate power supply for the radio and servos? Thank you!!!
I've only experienced RSSI issues on one plane: The 67" Laser PNP. ALL OTHER EF/SW planes I have--no issues at all. So I believe my issue was related to the Rx. Of course, this isn't a cheap plane, so if you can add a little extra insurance with a satellite RX, it wouldn't be a terrible idea. These aren't full size servos, and I know Tim beat the daylights out of the PNP hardware before posting these for sale, so I don't think an external BEC is necessary.
Oh that's another nice plane, a competition between these 6 60 class airframes you got would be really cool to see which ones excel at what😁

Do the Emax 9252 servos work good for this plane? Are they strong enough?
I think so. I e used them on a number of 60” planes without a problem.

Do you remember what you set your motor timing at?
I didn't change it in the ESC. Left the default value.
Well it looks like you get your money's worth with the sky wing aircraft! You can't say that for some companies!
I think they have a very good value proposition.
