  • Designer L’Wren Scott dressed Hollywood A-listers and fashion royalty, including Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Naomi Campbell. As a collection of her most dazzling pieces comes to Christie’s, her inner circle pay tribute to a visionary talent.
L’Wren Scott was the ultimate red-carpet designer. Her signature silhouettes, known for their timeless glamour and precise construction, were worn by Hollywood stars and high-profile personalities, from Madonna and Michelle Obama to Daphne Guinness and Penelope Cruz.
‘She was an incredible talent,’ says Cruz. ‘She created many unique pieces that I wore for premieres and the Oscars.’
Among the most dazzling of these is the gold sequined dress (below) that Cruz wore to the Skyfall premiere in 2012.
‘She was almost the epitome of the Oscar statue,’ says fashion consultant Kerry Taylor of the jaw-dropping ensemble.

What a beautiful talented woman. I loved her sense of taste and style. What tragedy 🎭 the universe holds.

How can you talk about dreams without talking about mental health and the extreme depression Ms. Scott suffered. Hopefully some of this money will go towards mental health causes. I am sure Ms. Scott would not want other lives to end as quickly and tragically as hers. She was a genius, may she find peace.

Other people do not have Jagger as a boyfriend either . He broke her heart and cheated on her .

The greatest news is some of the proceeds will be allocated to help the homeless situation in Los Angeles, so Texas, Arizona and Oregon continue on sending in bus loads of them.
It’s all good. Anyways, gorgeous gowns.

I think she'll rather prefer to see her clothes in a museum than at a auction. I read L'Wren had a emotional connection with fabric/clothes. If she kept them it's because they were important to her. L'Wren definitely should never have wasted her time making any of those jackets for Jagger. Utterly insensitive of him selling them. The butterfly jacket should have been preserved as he wore at Hyde Park and she designed that based in Stones show after Brian Jones died. It's so obvious as much Jagger was a mistake in her life.

Her dresses were beautiful, she should have gone in to ready to wear also, made more affordable items, and they would have sold more, hopefully saving her business.

The younger narrator (blonde) is the most fake sounding person I have ever heard and I've travelled extensively for 69 years.

They are all fake and over-hyping her. She was not an "extremely successful model" and that's why she became a stylist. She was also not a successful designer and was millions in debt...not slaggng her, just find the narrators to be avoiding reality.

Jagger singing "Miss you" for Brian Jones? The man's hypocrisy is unbelievable! He did everything he could to hound Jones out of the Stones.

Jones wasn’t hounded out of the Stones. He was a druggie and he couldn’t function anymore.
