I just started hunting again after 23 years because my son wanted to start. We are on public land, I understand that. But there doesn't seem to be much basic hunting etiquette. I went to my blind for an evening sit on Jan. 5 and I had to kick someone out of it. Is this normal these days?

I think most people would leave when asked. However I'm pretty sure they are allowed to use it if it's on public. Might je best to ring your local game warden and just ask what the law says.

@@Mat-Miller He did leave. I will look into if someone is able to use it on public land through the game warden. I was shocked by this. I understand if he was sitting 10 yards away, you can't save a spot. But I'd never consider using someone else's gear.

I guess there are probably lots of places around the country with abandoned or hardly used Blinds. Maybe he's just chancing it?
