- A fire happened at Lowe’s Picataway NJ New Jersey USA Branch today 07/31/2023 at around 3PM. The fire was promptly put under control by our competent local firefighting organization. Only the lumberyard area was affected.
Excellent job by the fire dept. They obviously had a good pre-plan. If I had to guess, Lowes loss control needs some improvement. Be interested in hearing the details of the fire. Again, great job to fire department..
That wasn’t bad. A thief in San Jose CA recently burned down an entire Home Depot store trying to cover up his theft.
I never seen a Lowes catch fire before and now I have.
Wasn’t too long ago we had a fire on the roof of the Home Depot here. It was solar panels that caught fire.

I see a LOT of poorly trained fire departments on youtube and this is impressive. Ive never seen a water supply establishment to one ladder this quick and they got 2. Strong work boys and girls

About a year ago a stack of lawn chairs caught fire on the front apron of the Home Depot in Riverhead NY and scorched the front of the building. Being made of plastic, a petroleum product, the chairs burned like crazy.
New market fire isn't bad.. The rest of them however are quite questionable.. Only know because I was on in Piscataway.. Key word WAS
Now that was great too see, Towers in the air and getting the wets stuff on the red stuff. Great attack guys, great Pre Plan in place and they must train daily. This is how its done!!

I work at the Home Depot and I went to Lowe’s just to look around one time in there. Lumber is absolutely shit is the worst lumber I’ve ever seen none other PT what is wet? It’s all dried up as a bone.
so gald to hear it was just the Lumber yard and none of the staff and customers were hurt or injured! it could of been a lot worse if it had spread to the main building!
The darker the smoke, the hotter the fire. Notice that after they got the two areiel master streams up and running, they made quick work of the fire.
Not always necessarily, that roof no doubt has tar and vinyl in the standard 4 layer code. She’ll smoke for hours

BUT lowes staff evacuted the whole store and rightly so as you NEVER know if a fire is gonna jump from the outside such as a lumber yard or garden center that a LOT of these outlets have attached to the main building / stucture (seen it happen here in the UK) they were very lucky that the fire Dept were quick and efficent! just glad no one was hurt or injured!
i know from some of the flippant comments (as per YT you allways get someone who thiks they are a comedian) are as we call it in the UK taking the piss out of this, BUT Fire is no laughing matter , I know from experience from being in a fire at a place i worked and just got out in time this could of been a lot worse than it was! thank god it wasnt!

Was this really American!! Normally take ages to get water on the fire, assuming the video not edited 5mins to arrival and the fire under control, well done to the firefighters of this town.😊

Just yesterday, in my town, there was a MASSIVE fire wirh aparrments and so many buisnesses at a 4 alarm fire, we are happy to say everyone got out. They have to demolish the buildings because the roof collapsed and it took over 20 hours to put out the blaze
I work at Lowe's taking the shopping cart and helping people load things up in there cars and this is scary 😱

It was solar panels the lumber part was not involved

No. Fire department is only worried about the fire and any possible HAZMAT. 1st priority is life hazard - is anyone still in the building? 2nd - locate the fire and size up. 3rd extinguishment.
