Driver Strikes Two Pedestrians, Killing One In Home Depot Parking Lot In Costa Mesa

- 06.23.2020 | 11:50 AM | COSTA MESA - A driver struck two pedestrians, killing one, in a Home Depot parking lot, Tuesday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the Home Depot parking lot located in the 2300 block of Harbor Boulevard around 11:50 AM.
Units arriving on scene located two pedestrians on the ground after being struck by a pickup truck in front of the Home Depot.
Firefighter paramedics treated and transported both victims to an area hospital.
One of the men succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The condition of the second man was not immediately known.
The driver of the pickup truck that struck the pedestrians remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.

The driver was probably not DUI, but if there are serious injuries and/or a fatality, they will often do the FST's to simply rule out any impairment.
Can we had zero accident at least for one month 🙄

DUI? Even if he is DUI they will sue Home Depot and wont blame the driver. Why? Old geezer has limited $$$. Home Depot has more $$$.
Constantly see speeders in parking lots too. Any lot...have to be really careful walking or driving. See dumb parents who let their kids run way out in front of them. People cannot see kids when backing out of spot.Park at side of lot facing out, then walk at side of lot to get to the store. Home Depot and super markets parking lots are the worst for speeders and people on phones.
