man i gotta say i was on the verge of rage deleting for probably the 4th time across 3 games. but i changed my thumb position and i was making really good contact with everything in the zone. thanks so much for that tip! The only thing is I have to rest my thumb so it doesn’t cramp up. 10/10

Wow I been doing the thumb placement lately and its been making a hugh hugh hugh difference. I find bow instead of thinking about my pci placement i can focus on the thinking about the pitches better
I do an infinity simple pre pitch warms your thumb up to the distance of the strike zone in all directions, secondly I slow my movement down and pause my PCI slightly on the side of the pitchers arm at release.. then read and react.. you will smack perfect perfects far more often
What's your pre pitch movements if you dont mind me asking.

I haven't seen anyone else show the thumb grip. can't wait to try this out later because I can see it potentially working for me. I understand it's probs personal preference, but is your nail typically facing "3 o'clock"? I find that my thumb is typically facing "2 o'clock" naturally
dude i kid you not i was watching this in the middle of a ranked game and i changed my thumb to that like 90 degree thing and i hit a 470 foot homerun first pitch lmaooo thank you so much man

If you monitor has an input latency reducing setting then turn that on, but there’s nothing else really

The input delay is crazy bruh. I was doing good now I can’t hit any fast balls over 100 mph. I’ve gotta switch that setting. I play on pc literally just bought a ps5 and always use a wired connection. This sucks lol

Get precision rings from kontrol freaks especially if your on all star. You physically cannot slam with those rings on the controller.

Reducing input delay and using the legend fastball sliders with normal off speeds will help u learn to sit back
Literally never comment/interact with videos but that thumb angle thing is actually gold, scored 7 runs in the bottom of the third off 4 HRs, literally couldn’t believe it

Made WS first ranked season, about to make it again this season (876 rating). Never been able to read the spin on the ball lol. Can’t even see the seams like you are able to in real life. Just read out of the hand the horizontal or vertical bounce of the off speed pitches is what I’ve experienced.
By reading spin this is what I meant. It’s obviously pretty hard to see the laces and stuff on a video game😂 But yea seeing the bounce out of the hand and being able to detect off speed is key

If you have trouble pulling the ball you can set your stride to a higher kick and time the pitch with that. Tough at first but you get used to it
And also if guess pitch is on and they only have 1 fastball and the rest off speed just guess fastball every time

Why do you think hitting is so much harder this year than it was in 21? I’ve always played with the PCI on all-star, and I was never really a home run hitting team in 21, but I’ve played 63 games in franchise mode this year, and I’ve hit a very paltry 16 HR’s. HR hitting is now way worse for me than it was even in 21.If you’re not really sure, I understand that too. I heard that SDS did change the hitting mechanics, but I’m really having a hard time thinking they benefited people the way SDS claimed they would. Hitting is really no fun at all anymore. My run scoring is way down too. And it’s not even that my scoring and number of bombs is low, but now it’s just terrible. Couldn’t really get much worse at this point.
You basically have to hit a perfect perfect for the ball to leave the yard and especially on franchise mode because MLB ballparks are tough to hit home runs out on
