1. Solid sense of humor. I love someone that can make and take a joke. Too many people are overly sensitive today and everything offends them. I can't stand that.
2. Great smile, like you I love a great smile. It denotes how happy someone is, "crows feet" or "laugh lines" as I like to call them don't bother me because it shows the person laughs often.
3. Thoughtful. I love it when when the guy I'm dating can read my body language or moods and knows when I need a night on the couch cuddling with movies or when I need my space. I find this is the hardest to find. I'm a bigger bear type and everyone expects me to be that guy which I am, but sometimes we need that affection too.

What about age, how important is that to you. I have a very wide spread that I am okay with but most of my friends have narrow, limiting spreads and they are very rigid.

My three top traits I look for:
1) Accepting, accept that I may not be too confident in myself, but I'm working on it and when they tell me to be more confident, I feel like I'm trying for them not me anymore. And accept that I have a life outside of being with him, so let me live it too. I'm not perfect I make mistakes, just don't let me constantly be reminded I make them, it's an live and experience.

I like this idea I heard from someone else...
Imagine your ideal guy at a coffee shop having a cup of coffee. You are sitting across from him admiring him and all that you love about him.
What does he look like?
What color is his hair?
Is he taller, shorter or your height? What is he wearing, his style?
How did he get there, as in mode of transportation?
What is his occupation, preferred type of work?
What does he believe to be true, as far as faith, money, love, and relationships go?
Anything else you admire?
This is such a great exercise because it is difficult to accomplish any goal that we are not super clear about. If we aren't clear about our ideal guy and believe we can accomplish achieving finding him and having a relationship with him, it is easy to date all the wrong guys and get into mediocre relationships, because we are settling for whatever.
When we are super clear about what our ideal guy and relationship looks like, we see him when he shows up! He does not get lost in the crowd, but rather stands out.
Once I heard this advice and did the visualization, I got really clear about the type of guy I wanted.
Now, when I do the dating apps, I ask myself in regards to the guys I am looking at, if they could fit the role of that guy I visualized in the coffee shop. It is sort of like casting for the leading role in a movie. If the guy doesn't have what it takes to fit the role, I move on, realizing he is not the guy for me.
