12.04.2023 - Trying out DCC-Ex as a layout controller (Part 2)

I've started looking for an alternative layout controller and have been trying out DCC-Ex .
This video follows on from my earlier video on DCC-Ex (sorry, some material is duplicated) and covers my initial look at what Apps are available to use with the Command Station and the interaction with JMRI.
For details on DCC-Ex the website dcc-ex.com/ is an excellent source of information and everything I did in the video was based on the advice given there.

Thanks for sharing your experience with DCC-EX. I too, have moved away from NCE & Digitrax DCC control systems as I enjoy working with arduinos and special projects. There is a learning curve as you stated. Cheers!

Like the discussion about how your control architecture evolved, that's not really covered in other people's videos. I'm also interested in using Arduino(s) to control points and associated signals - of you ever go down that path it would be great to hear your thoughts.
