I had this thought, too. I ultimately settled on Shang because of the green before the lava. Though, I'd prefer it be Havik or anybody else, just because the Shang thing was already done. It was the main plot of the story.

Every season should unlock a new stage with a stage fatality instead of temporary weather that dissapears with every new season.

The only stage variant we can unlock is from Season 5 upon beating Dark Raiden, but that's about it.
