I am from Canada as I child I was taught clean your horses feet every day and take care of them This breaks my heart as I’m sure it does everyone that’s watching
I thought the same, so I did a brief investigation. If I am understanding correctly, it looks like they are using a device called a "twitch" which is designed to squeeze/pinch the upper lip on horses and donkeys and is know to provide pain relief and tension relief akin to acupuncture when applied correctly (according to a few sites citing vets in the UK). Granted, I have no idea what the "correct" way to apply a twitch looks like, but I sure hope that this donkey is actually feeling relief, despite how painful it looks to us. :/

Yeah he doesn’t know when to stop and in the end just makes everything worse.
He makes do with the tools he has. The owners are the ones doing the dis-service to the donkeys.
the way he's doing isn't right....so u suggest that they go with them over grown hooves. It's better that they do that then the latter
