Better check what kind of bike and the shape it's in. Most new people to the e-bike craze don't realize the kind of torque those motors are putting on the bike frame. If the frame looks weak, it IS. That's why the good conversations are working good with mountain bikes. They are designed to take a better beating as they were designed for off-road and the mounting on the frame for the wheels are already reinforced for those jumps and crazy riding people will do off road. It's a healthy plus BUT still even mountain bikes are not designed for the torque a 1000 wat motor can and will put out once you open the throttle all the way. So even on that note, please buy parts that reinforce the e-motor by locking it in by NOT allowing the torque of the motor to twist itself out of the mount on the frame. Take note, there are FLAT sides to the bolt that barely fits the mount. This is to keep the bolt from rotating as the motor pulls the bike forward. The mounts were never designed to take that sort of toque, especially the front wheels of any bike! Even the rear tire, with the bike chain the wheel is PULLED FORWARDS, NOT the twisting torque a motor will put out! So don't be surprised if you start to see the mount warp and the forks? Groove start to space out. It's a dangerous sign you wheel is about to twist out and literally fall off. Imagine a wheel flying off doing 20 mph. You are gonna get hurt is putting it mildly and a good chance it WILL kill you. So take it with a grain of salt, your doing something new? Learn what can go wrong and try to correct it BEFORE you learn the hard way. Bikes were never designed to go 20 plus all the time, e-bike motors make it easy to hit thirty?!? Hummm. Use some common sense and better yet search on what can go wrong. Least I pointed out the BIG ones. What you don't know here can and will kill yeah.

'Jehugarcia' is an Electrician/CZcamsr out of San Marcos, CA who has a ton of EBike batteries of various wattages, voltages, & amperages in bulk for super cheap. He sells 18650 lithium cells in bulk for cheap to do lithium ion battery pack builds, also. I'm getting into electrical big time (broke out the old 12th grade physics textbook even) to learn how to build my own lithium battery packs, and Vanlife Cabin Lithium Solar System builds for my Travel Van (maybe out of 18650's & BMS as well). This EBike Build is my project for this year to get into all of it. This is my new hobby. Then I'll build a custom EBike Teardrop Trailer with a lot of extra lithium capacity, an inverter (for possible Starlink antenna mounted in the Trailer Roof) solar on it & an ECar charge station adapter built into the trailer, to fast charge at Electric Stations on the road, possibly. Maybe do a CZcams Channel on touring across the U.S. with it. Never been so excited to get into a new hobby since I was a kid. Thanks for this video!

Also on that bottom bracket nut the big one you banged on with a hammer and flat head on the crank bottom bracket you really want to torque that properly because it's easy to grind out that area (I run mid drive motors instead of hub so for me it's really super important but still even on hub motors it should be properly torqued) just want to try to save you from having to trash the frame or buy new parts to fix anything. Hope your enjoying the bike

Great job.glad you got some fun on it. The controller is limiting your speed by supplying very little amperage.can be tweaked but easier to upgrade controller.ride on brother.

Dude!! WD-40 would help on siezed stuff. I am just saying that because I feel for you and I have drawn blood too many times myself. Thanks for this video. My son will have an e-bike by next week because I just learned how to build one by watching your video. New subscriber here also.

Thank you for sharing the actual list of parts. If I want to replicate this with my Bianchi Advantage, I have to research more. I also do not need it to be 30MPH, just 20 MPH. I also have a Huffy, and I may just do this for that bike.. My question is the controller box, I wonder if they come alot smaller, like the Swyft. , and yes, living in a big city I see someone stealing it in a heartbeat.

If you don't have a pedal puller it's easier to use a splitting maul (the type without a handle) and use that as a wedge between the frame and crank arm and tap at it till the pedal arm falls off. Way less straining and gouging of skin. Just move the maul from one side to the other every now and then so it separates evenly and requires less banging and potential for damage to the frame etc... But it still takes longer than taking the bus down to a bike shop and buying the proper tool for the job. And makes it easier by far. A pedal puller is cheap to buy too and will last for years even a chinesium one will last forever if you engage as many threads before cranking on the inner bolt.

At last a genuine everyday diy build that doesn’t spend a few grand on fancy parts to build their bike. I’d personally use disk brakes & maybe a slightly better frame but I really enjoyed your build anyway. Keep it up 👍

Probably because most people wouldn’t trust that battery. I know I wouldn’t

The wire from the battery is called a 'Deans' connector you can buy an adapter from convert male Dean to female XT60. I use XT60 connectors to connect power to the motor. Great job. BTW I would have used that unknown bag to store the excessive wire.

I personally would have got rid of the front gears to simplify the bike a bit. It’s got a motor anyway. One thing you could do too is get a rear bike rack and mount the controller and battery to it.

Hi. Do the same as I hid the wires in the electric box waterproof, I have a video on the channel, but I'm from Russia and speak Russian 😊 well, you will understand how to do it, how to hide all the wires from the rain, and also make sure and make an amplifier on the motor wheel🚲
