What for can you explain 😬

This bike is so precious, her creator spilled blood to make it. 😂😂😂
No project is worth until some blood is spilled.
This bike is a bomb waiting to go off. It is dangerous.
It’s ok to decent. It’s just that battery that’s an issue.

@@lonniestutler313 yeah it’s a deathtrap lmao
I love this guy” I’ll just throw some zip ties on it for now, remember just for now” if you’ve never said this you need to try it !!! Thanks for the build my brother!!!
Nice job. I would consider mounting a book rack and a set of soft panniers. keep the control box and battery over the tire right behind you and some extra essential in the panniers. A water resistant plastic ammo can would maybe make a good locking box for the batt and control
This is the first video I watched for building an ebike and now about a year later I built my own, thanks for the inspiration and the guidance man
This should be the first video that everyone sees when building an ebike. Bravo!
Brilliant build, and really cheap too. Building a perspex box with air vents will help keep your electronics dry and cool. Congrats, this vid will help many people get started with e bikes.
It brought much happiness. If you haven’t bleed or busted your knuckles your not wrenching
I agree
If you would have had a bike stand that would have been helpful
Yeah I've currently got a nice triangle cut into my middle finger down to the white meat from an allen wrench slipping near the disk break. :)
wow this is a great video, very informative, I feel like I could probably do this myself now. thanks for being so thorough with the walk through
I’m getting ready to build the SAME exact bike! I bought it by chance in PERFECT condition for $40, then found THIS video which kept me from ditching this bike for a whole different setup at a higher cost.
Thanks to this video I now feel 100% confident that I can spend less than $500 and build a 40+Mph e-bike that’s dependable, and can keep me rolling while I save up n build my 5KW Sauron clone
Thx for the video! ESP for using THAT exact bike! Wild chances to find this video the day after I bought the bike strictly to convert :) rock on bro!
Saw your mid drive video, got me drooling over that low end torque!!
Much respect for helping us lower income guys with a no nonsense tutorial we can make our kids happy building them an e-bike
Haha...this should be titled "e-bike wreck conversion." I'm impressed with your knowledge and skill. Way to go!
I’m building my own soon. This was helpful!
I'm just a backyard hack. I have a 750 w rear hub motor from a Canadian bike co.
Now I'm looking at my flat tire, no seat mountain bike gathering dust. You are inspiring me to make the E conversion. Great vid. I actually said OUCH when punched the sprocket.
Excellent How to............Thank-you, liked and Subbed.
Hey thought it was a well planned video. I really like that you included instructions on some basic bike maintenance and terms for people newer to biking. Thanks man! Cool build.
I liked your video. Moved along nicely and was very informative. Thanks.
Goldguy, wanted to thank you for your video, followed your video and built a electric bike just like yours . Would recommend others follow your example. thank you again.
Thanks for watching! Just to clarify, the $350 is the cost of the ebike kit and battery, I assumed that most people already have a bike to use.
I cant get the battery link to work to find the battery you used. Can you tell me the brand and specs for the battery? The ebay link didn’t work for me.
That okaman battery looks fake, I like that it cost you little and they promised you high specifications, you should test the real capacity, that is to say of being a scam it doesn't have the 20.000 mah promised but less or half
the rest of what has been the engine controller etc looks quality and economic, my kit of 1500w cost me 300 euros from china to europe spain
Better check what kind of bike and the shape it's in. Most new people to the e-bike craze don't realize the kind of torque those motors are putting on the bike frame. If the frame looks weak, it IS. That's why the good conversations are working good with mountain bikes. They are designed to take a better beating as they were designed for off-road and the mounting on the frame for the wheels are already reinforced for those jumps and crazy riding people will do off road. It's a healthy plus BUT still even mountain bikes are not designed for the torque a 1000 wat motor can and will put out once you open the throttle all the way. So even on that note, please buy parts that reinforce the e-motor by locking it in by NOT allowing the torque of the motor to twist itself out of the mount on the frame. Take note, there are FLAT sides to the bolt that barely fits the mount. This is to keep the bolt from rotating as the motor pulls the bike forward. The mounts were never designed to take that sort of toque, especially the front wheels of any bike! Even the rear tire, with the bike chain the wheel is PULLED FORWARDS, NOT the twisting torque a motor will put out! So don't be surprised if you start to see the mount warp and the forks? Groove start to space out. It's a dangerous sign you wheel is about to twist out and literally fall off. Imagine a wheel flying off doing 20 mph. You are gonna get hurt is putting it mildly and a good chance it WILL kill you. So take it with a grain of salt, your doing something new? Learn what can go wrong and try to correct it BEFORE you learn the hard way. Bikes were never designed to go 20 plus all the time, e-bike motors make it easy to hit thirty?!? Hummm. Use some common sense and better yet search on what can go wrong. Least I pointed out the BIG ones. What you don't know here can and will kill yeah.
350 for motor kit and battery ? You having a laugh the battery’s cost the same as the wheel most of the time unless you use the fake 18650 battery’s
great walkthrough and the comments make this build gold
I have watched so many ebike kit videos recently try, amd yours is the only one that's given me the confidence to do the wiring..
You wemt through it slowly explained that it is colour coded, amd amd shown the process.
THANK YOU! Now all I need to do it actaully take the plunge and order a kit and a battery.
Cheers buddy
You need a first aid kit in the shop. That scrape must of hurt after the adrenaline wore off.
Oh yeah it hurt.
More like a gash lol
Or a crank puller
Awesome video and thanks for sharing your tips 👍👍
You made that look easy. Thanks. Im not ready yet but this is one step closer!
Thanks for the video. I now have the confidence to do my own build. I believe the speed limiting wires are for for European users who are restricted to 250W of power for use on roads without the need for insurance and driving licence.
This is really helpful. Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic informative video. Thankyou for sharing this.
It was all good till he put the shifter on the inside
Yea that rly bothered me too
yes that was big off!
Breaking is used more than shifting with motor
If he left it how he had it in the start, the levers would be in that sweet spot and he woulnt need to purchase shorty 2 finger levers. I guess he prefers a full 4 finger pull. Im more of a two finger on the levers.
Yeah, cringed me so hard
I am about to do this myself too . This video was so helpful. Thank you
So many variables, it's a headache to figure out what to get, but knowing it's possible to do this on a budget is reassuring. Thanks :)
Nice vid mate, really usefully! Thanks!👍
Thanks for sharing dude. never thought it would be this cheap. Subscribed!
Nice to see you giving it a good effort and not hiding any of your small hiccups instead of pretending that it was so simple to make even a little to no experience of mechanical background can do it as well. I thought that you are easy to follow instead of polished video so i look at the work and say i can't do it they have a lot of experience but your rawness is refreshing making people realise they are able to do it if willing to put the effort into the project, so congratulations my guy keep pushing forward and I have no doubt that u will go as far as u want to
Awesome video mate thanks for sharing.
Great video! As a suggestion for the extra wires, I got this from watching shows like Amercian Choppers, and Overhauln, is that you can rout the excess through the down tube, it cleans up alot of messy wiring issues and it makes the bike look kinda trick
What is a downtube?
you've made the best inexpensive e-bike build on CZcams im building one just like yours thanks so much!!!!
czcams.com/video/B3_P46C_Rm0/video.html
Please use a better bike with disc brakes, this bike was not designed for these speeds and will fall apart.
I've been studying this e-bike stuff for a couple years and this is the best video I've seen good job
A crank puller would have been a worthy investment also.
lmao that Tinder notification at 20:03
So cool. You made it look simple.
Good job. I’m pleasantly surprised.
FYI this motor can take a lot of abuse. You can push 3kw using 72v+ in it no problem... If you ever think about upgrading the bike, the motor is something you don't need to worry about.
your talking abt pushing 2kw into a 1000w motor, it would destroy it
@@UsmanKhan-fb2jq no, It won't. Those cheap motors are very much underrated
@@TheMegaTheseus power does not matter, torque rate matter

Well done. I love it. Thank you.
Wow amazing restoration and build! I know how that scrape feels like. Feel better.
One cable tie is good...two cable ties.... priceless peace of mind.
Great will convert my old KHS.....thanx bro.
This looks like a fun little project. Hmm might have to start shopping for the parts.
Love the blood and sweat you put in the job. 👍
Good job friend. Great video and very helpful
You did a very good job. Thank you
The cable management is real hehehe. Nice work getting that all put together, you made it look somewhat easy
That 20Ah battery is about half the size as my genuine 20Ah battery. Just wanted to mention its at tops 10Ah and the batteries in it is not the best either thus the very low price for it.
Too many of my "just for now" things end up being semi-permanent.
Great job make me want to my own build.
I’m 67 with 2 DRZ’s and a couple Triumphs. I’m thinking this will be a good way to supercharge my old Bianchi mountain bike so I can use it more. That’s for the inspiration young man!🚴🏼♂️
well done! Sorry about your hand. I really want to convert my bike for the first time too. Your video is nice and it very encourage me to start mine...
Just completed a similar build will definitely be linking your video in my description when I'm done setting up everything and editing it
Looking forward to that MondoPb3.
I enjoy watching you building this e bike, good editing, good explanation , I thinking buying the same thing and building myself.
Well done! I have a 1500 watt voilamart hub motor with a 52 volt triangle battery. I bought a puller to remove the pedals. No washers. Better wrap that battery in some padding and get some proper connectors.
Love the Subie rumble! ❤️❤️❤️
Really enjoyed the video. Nice methodical install. I've got the same kit. Personally, I didn't bother with the supplied brake levers, or the pedal assist. I found it to be so much unnecessary wiring. I manage fine by just applying/letting go of the throttle.
if you dont have brake levers that cut power to motor in a certain time it makes the bike illegal in even the states with the easiest laws
@@kylegoodfield9088 who’s gonna check that though really you think a cops gonna check if your brakes cut your throttle
Quality video, i've just picked up a great MB for £40 and ordered the same parts .. going to great fun - thanks again.!!! :-)
How did the build go?....
Wow wow walmart good prices thanks for teaching how to put the tube wow high quality brake levers wow so many parts $190 only
Dud that was fantastic!!!
This video is by far the best if you want to build a e bike
very good man, I like it, more videos
im inspired to get one cheers dude
Great job.
Great video very informative thanks for sharing I have sub
I just did the 1500 watt with the internal controller (in the hub) and it's SO much cleaner. I hope it lasts. Need to upgrade my battery from 48v 13ah to 52v 20ah but the thing can do about 28 mph as it is with no pedal input. I did discover that it's worth buying the tools for the gear cassette and the crank though.
How far can you ride?
@@siebehuitema4318 fully throttle wide open hills and stuff about 18 miles.
You earned this 👍🏾
I got a German 1000 dollars new alu bike for 140 dollars :) dual suspension, manitou forks, shimano diore, nakamura, all strong quality for those rocky roads, all working fine lol.
Excellent 👍
Great video GoldGuy.. I fitted a 60 ah circuit breaker between my positive battery and the controller. You can turn off the battery before you disconnect it. Stops all the sparking!
I've just bought an ebike, a 52v 1000w rear wheel hub and motor, and it sparks damn near every time I connect the charging wire to my battery.
Am I damaging anything? And how do I fit this circuit breaker you mentioned?
@@NiSiochainGanSaoirse Hold fire Sir... It's Saturday night and we are all drunk. I will put up a circuit in the nest few days with Amazon link for purchase.. thankyou for your patience.. and YES... you are damaging your connection

'Jehugarcia' is an Electrician/CZcamsr out of San Marcos, CA who has a ton of EBike batteries of various wattages, voltages, & amperages in bulk for super cheap. He sells 18650 lithium cells in bulk for cheap to do lithium ion battery pack builds, also. I'm getting into electrical big time (broke out the old 12th grade physics textbook even) to learn how to build my own lithium battery packs, and Vanlife Cabin Lithium Solar System builds for my Travel Van (maybe out of 18650's & BMS as well). This EBike Build is my project for this year to get into all of it. This is my new hobby. Then I'll build a custom EBike Teardrop Trailer with a lot of extra lithium capacity, an inverter (for possible Starlink antenna mounted in the Trailer Roof) solar on it & an ECar charge station adapter built into the trailer, to fast charge at Electric Stations on the road, possibly. Maybe do a CZcams Channel on touring across the U.S. with it. Never been so excited to get into a new hobby since I was a kid. Thanks for this video!
Sounds awesome! I would watch those videos 😉
PAS can go on either side. It's just easier to put it in the non drive side with a square taper.
I have mine mounted drive side, but I also have a Hollowtech crankset.
Drive side makes it a little more protected, but isn't necessary.
Also on that bottom bracket nut the big one you banged on with a hammer and flat head on the crank bottom bracket you really want to torque that properly because it's easy to grind out that area (I run mid drive motors instead of hub so for me it's really super important but still even on hub motors it should be properly torqued) just want to try to save you from having to trash the frame or buy new parts to fix anything. Hope your enjoying the bike
Keep.it simple , I get it , Good job brother.
good stuff.
Great job.glad you got some fun on it. The controller is limiting your speed by supplying very little amperage.can be tweaked but easier to upgrade controller.ride on brother.

Dude!! WD-40 would help on siezed stuff. I am just saying that because I feel for you and I have drawn blood too many times myself. Thanks for this video. My son will have an e-bike by next week because I just learned how to build one by watching your video. New subscriber here also.
Great E-bike😀😀
Best one I've watched yet :D
Thank you for sharing the actual list of parts. If I want to replicate this with my Bianchi Advantage, I have to research more. I also do not need it to be 30MPH, just 20 MPH. I also have a Huffy, and I may just do this for that bike.. My question is the controller box, I wonder if they come alot smaller, like the Swyft. , and yes, living in a big city I see someone stealing it in a heartbeat.
If you don't have a pedal puller it's easier to use a splitting maul (the type without a handle) and use that as a wedge between the frame and crank arm and tap at it till the pedal arm falls off. Way less straining and gouging of skin. Just move the maul from one side to the other every now and then so it separates evenly and requires less banging and potential for damage to the frame etc... But it still takes longer than taking the bus down to a bike shop and buying the proper tool for the job. And makes it easier by far. A pedal puller is cheap to buy too and will last for years even a chinesium one will last forever if you engage as many threads before cranking on the inner bolt.
At last a genuine everyday diy build that doesn’t spend a few grand on fancy parts to build their bike. I’d personally use disk brakes & maybe a slightly better frame but I really enjoyed your build anyway. Keep it up 👍
will you show how you build your electric bike?
Probably because most people wouldn’t trust that battery. I know I wouldn’t
The wire from the battery is called a 'Deans' connector you can buy an adapter from convert male Dean to female XT60. I use XT60 connectors to connect power to the motor. Great job. BTW I would have used that unknown bag to store the excessive wire.
Thank you for this
I personally would have got rid of the front gears to simplify the bike a bit. It’s got a motor anyway. One thing you could do too is get a rear bike rack and mount the controller and battery to it.
Awesome 👍
Hi. Do the same as I hid the wires in the electric box waterproof, I have a video on the channel, but I'm from Russia and speak Russian 😊 well, you will understand how to do it, how to hide all the wires from the rain, and also make sure and make an amplifier on the motor wheel🚲
thank you. i learned a lot.
Another great vid mate, just make sure that the rear shock isnt going to hit the battery when it bottoms out
Great video
