@isaacdayton4962 yeah but for sotv the pre dlc music drop was about a week before the drop, which was on march 1st. so i think seekers of the storm will drop sometime around june 1st.

@@stryder_01 Having played through the new update with Stavros' track on it, I can say I like it. I don't feel quite at ease like I do listening to Chris' music, because I lack that warm familiarity. It is certainly very new and brings a different feeling to the soundtrack. I think it is good and it is a good thing to change things up sometimes, and I am sure he will do great in the future too. But it will take me a bit of getting used to after having listened to Chris' Risk of Rain music for years. His music felt like home at this point. Now I feel like I'm moving to a new place. It is good, but it is different. That is a bit scary

I've been praying for rain for the past week...I did not expect it to be answered like this
I only saw the notification for "I should build the man a statue" then I saw this, man I'm really being spoiled today.
There's something about this music that is both nostalgic and alienated (no pun intended). You get the feeling that you heard this before many times throughout your runs but upon entering this strange area of the world, you ended up getting somewhere that you didn't even know existed. To me that's the feeling I get from this soundtrack, really bizarre, but in a VERY VERY good way.

1:18 OMG! Yeah well what can you even say. It is the level of detail. I produce some music on my free time I know how much time goes in to fine tuning and tinkering. Respect. Now I do not know how long it took to make this song. Probably not the longest of all songs but you cannot get this level of detail without some serious skill and dedication to the craft. I love it too much.

The three note melody predominant for like the first fourth of the song actually does kind of come from there! Chris wanted to use the idea in more songs after A Placid Island of Ignorance, he said it in the Survivors of the Void commentary!

Sounds like a spin on one of the ROR 1 soundtracks at the start, although i can't quite put my finger on it
Learning you were doing the music for the expansion was a relief and a burst of joy at the same time. I suspected as much when I heard this track on the new stage in the free update, but I dared not hope. Now I know and am extremely happy to hear more of some of the best video game music to ever exist.

I remember listening to your Survivors of the Void album commentary and hearing you talk about the melody of "A Placid Island of Ignorance" and wanting to use it elsewhere because you liked it so much, but couldn't fit it in the rest of the SotV soundtrack, so it was awesome to hear it in this one! "A Placid Island of Ignorance" is such a wonderful piece (I'm a sucker for weird time signatures and subdivisions especially), and has easily become one of my new favorite tracks in the game. I can't wait to hear what the rest of the dlc has to offer. Amazing work, Chris!

Chris showed once again how good music is made, especially with teleporter music on that stage. He already made the one of the best music I've ever heard for Survivors of the Void, and now it looks like that level won't come down
