    Making videos take a minute to learn and a lifetime to master. You have great content which is the most important criteria. Well done (from a f650gs owner) 😊

    Great video. Bought a 650 Dakar with loads of gucci extras and she's a 'keeper'. Tried a Dominator single can on her. Well made but raw raspy sound, not the same depth that previous Remus can had on a 1100GS. Know that's more cubes, but took Dominator back off. Still vexed that original cat / single exhaust out set up doesn't set off what is a robust, useable single cylinder engine. Your single Remus can sounded great. Might be the way to go. Thanks for your very informative video.

    Thanks for the video mate. How loud is it for long journeys? Does it get a bit much?
    What is that engine/tank guard on you bike?

    • @Adv_Charlie
      @Adv_Charlie  Před 3 lety +3

      If I'm honest it was a little too loud. I always wear ear plugs anyway so that made it ok, for long rides. All of my travels round NZ & OZ was with this setup.
      The engine guard was the BMW one and that upper one was Touratech.

      @Adv_Charlie  Před 3 lety +1

      Not really however I did have a little dongle thing that plugged in the the air box air temp sensor and that tricked the bike so it ran a little richer which did improve things alot down low.
      The exhaust was good for noise and weight I don’t really remember if there was a noticeable performance change

      The importer used to be and maybe still is Eurobike. Contact Techmoto in Auckland they might be able to sell you one and ship it directly from Eurobike. If it's still available and in the country could be a long wait if not.

      @@YouMotorcycle thank for the reply. What has your experience been riding with a passenger on different terrains (highway speeds, on trails, etc)?

    • @YouMotorcycle
      @YouMotorcycle Před 2 lety +2

      @@evelcustom9864 This bike, for what it is (650 single cylinder), is pretty impressive. I did a 2 up trip about 200 km without a passenger, picked up a girl, rode about 200 km with her onthe back seat on the way back, it still had plenty of power for highway speeds. We just held it around 120 km/hr all day long, no problems. On the odd times I did need to accelerate to 140 km/hr to pass some erratic driver for safety, it was okay.
      Riding two up you can definitely go full throttle in 5th gear and run out of power on the highway if trying to pass/avoid bad drivers, so while it's not really made for two up riding, it does OK.
      The biggest problem that we had was the seat. The G650GS seat is narrower and less thick than the seat was on the old F650GS single. They do this to help you get your feet on the ground more if you're short, but for us it was just very uncomfortable after the first 100 km. We found a used seat from the F650GS 650cc for $70 being sold locally, bought that, it's thicker and wider, and much more comfortable for two up riding.
      I have a video coming out on my channel this week about the three best mods to the G650GS, and, spoiler: upgrading the seat is #2 on the list. Subscribe my channel if you wanna see that when it comes out.
      Only other thing I would mention about two up riding is we may get foot peg extenders for the passenger because I have big 41 liter hard cases, and they make her feet stick out a bit more, so she could use some more support under her feet. They make little adapters for $20 that bring the pegs out further so that's easily fixed.
      I've never taken it two up on trails, so I can't help with that, sorry, but I hope everything else in this msg was helpful. See ya later! :)
