I programmed arcade games and claw machines. The program let's you set the claw strength at pick up, lift, and travel. It gets stronger the more you play. The % of how much stronger depends on how much profit the owner wants to make on the toy. So if I bought a bear for .50c as an owner but want to make $5 before anyone wins that bear then the claw wont give you 100% strength till the machine gets $5 in plays. And it resets back to lowest strength when the sensor sees the prize drop in the hole.
lol
scams i knew there was smth
I'm worried some secret society of claw machine manufacturers is gonna off me for telling the public this đ
In Japan there's a law that prevent things like this from happening, basically the machine has a set strength all the way unless it is changed manually. That's why most prizes are winnable. Look up Ufo catchers videos by Japanese CZcamsrs. Some people even sale their prize to earn profits
Funny thing is, if something is based on random chance or a calculated probability, and not skill, to win a prize, it is gambling. How do these claw game manufacturers get away with that?
As much money as they have been pumping into those machines, I would flip if someone tried to throw me out when I finally start winning.
I was told that I couldn't play anymore at Six Flags in St. Louis (Eureka) because I was winning too much on the quarter toss onto the glass plate game. I lost count of how many huge stuffed animals I won but I remember I was asked to leave. I had a season pass that year. I came back the following weekend and the quarter toss plate game was gone lol. They replaced it with a new game. I have a sinking suspicion that I had a hand in it's discontinuation.
Them: get out
Me: tells them to get out
They have no honor for winners. They see someone win and sll because if business (not fun) they close it down. They're just all greedy.
They need games where nobody wins
I once won big time boi I tell you. Best day of my 17 year old life. There's this machine that is like jumping rope only with lights. I tested it out a few times but I soon found it to be inhumanly impossible... But fear not, the story doesn't end there. I pressed the 3x button that gives you 3x the actual tickets (if) you won. Then I proceeded to use one leg to *rapidly* destroy the game!!! And I literally had a pile of tickets. It too 5 minutes to stop and I had a group of kids looking at me as I carried the pile to the ticket counting machine. Ahh... Memories...
Lol cool story
Anonymoose Like the time I got almost a hundred kills in Crossfire. I was so lucky!
CoolCurtis yah im sure Iâve seen that stuff on yt
Liar
That game is called âJumpin Fantasyâ
I would have sued the ass out of them for telling me I can't win more than one prize when I sent my money for a chance to do so. It's not even written anywhere in the building or the machines . That's madness
They have it on the machine, just in really small print.
Still might be illegal, because they should tell you *before* you buy credits, not after.
Oh you'd sue themđ lmfao youd lose in civil court.
well the video evidence is here and they likely have the records of the money spent you want to try go ahead
My Uncle Ray actually sued an arcade play with a claw machine in a commonwealth state around the late 1990s. It cost him thousands in lawyers and court costs compared with the five dollar toy loss he incurred. So you can sue to be right. Prepare for years of court visits and a decent chance you'll lose your case if not ready to give at least a hundred percent to this cause.
This reminds me of the time my dad almost completely emptied a claw machine for these stuffed horses and we just walked into the store looking for my mom to show them to her. She just looked at him and looked so disappointed, mainly because he used a lot just to get those damn horses. :,)
I'll tell you this though, it was hilarious to see the looks on people's faces when they saw him carrying some of them and I was tagging along with this goofy smile.
Missery:::Bet you can't wait to do it again!
claw machines with stuffed animals are pretty much a rip off even if you won every time
its the memories that count, I remember winning a claw machine once or twice in my childhood lol

Reminds me the day I turned ÂŁ20 into ÂŁ1,600 in a casino playing blackjack for 40 minutes. Out of nowhere I got a tap on the shoulder and that was my queue to collect my chips and cash out. They probably saved me from losing it all anyway haha

Vending tech here, just so yall know, the claw machines are adjustable, typically they're placed on the weakest setting, some machines are left on default, but that's usually the plush claws.
If you see high end prizes you can just assume you're not going to win them in regards to claw machines. Keep walking
im sure your totally a vending tech yet u cant also assume the machines arent rigged. having the claw machines on the lowest setting is called rigging it and yes u can assume ur not gonna win high prizes đ its not hard to figure out if a machine is rigged or not.

If that's the rule one top prize per day they should post that a tell you that when you pay for your play card
The machine at 3:30 is not based on skill. HE is incorrect to say it is 100% based on skill. The manual for this machine even tells you the settings to set for payout for that machine. Basically setting it to prevent winning so closely per play. Sadly some of these machines dont work off skill even though it comes off as such
if that is the case then he's going to earn the same amount from one guy buying it all or other people so why would that be an issue
It is the case. Ive read the manual and there is a setting for prize probability You still have to use skill to get key lined up correctly. But you can not win continuously is my point based on the settings of the machine. This has already been discussed on other videos and I am sure Clawboss can chime in as well. I am sure they spent at least 50 bucks alone playing that game.
Yeah I spent like $40 trying to win the tablet.
Generally the payout is much higher then retail. It's just about being lucky and playing at the right time and hit the minimum payout
dude played the game, he won did not cheat there should be no problem
Anyone else come from his school bus vids and now realize why he is called Claw Boss?

#Magabomber confirmed
It blows my mind that it just hit me I used to watch these videos all the time and now watch your school bus videos and never put the two together until now đ
They intentionally keep those claws loose, so that when you hold some item it will slip off. so winning is hard.
for that pushing key game, use a wet market and mark the right edge when moving to the right of where you need to be on the glass then the top when its moving vertically. Everytime you can adjust these lines. If you are too far to the right, adjust the line a little left. If you are too high or too low adjust the vertical line. Eventually you will get it.
My dad actually repairs these machines and he says that there has to be more money then the price value in the machine for it to be able to be fair, so almost always there is a delay when you push the button so you dont get the price and the machine wont lose, but if you are skilfull enough you can get to now the delay of these machines and be able to win the prices.

thing is, if they could read, it was written on the machine it was just 1 prize for person. So the rule didnt changed during the game, the rule was already there, and they didn't even read it. So they're the ones in the wrong, it may be a stupid rule, but the rule was there before they started playing. Its not the arcade fault you can't read.

I used to work at an Arcade, they didn't kick people out, they would just "adjust" the claw so it wouldn't pay out for a longer time than usual if someone happened to win 2 prizes at once, or scoot a box close to the edge and win when they weren't supposed too
In fact, the manager loved when this happened because when people see someone winning they all clamor to that machine to play that claw (jokes on them)

I'd be a little miffed too, but carnivals and theme parks do the same thing. At least, the parks near me do. They limit you to one jumbo prize per visit. Still, though, at least this one isn't rigged and you can legit win, unlike the other one you played where they filed the notch at angle so it looks like it'd fit, but doesn't.
Yeah the funplex was rigged. When I saw carson and Trevor go here and win I had to try my luck!

The claw machine isn't broken they're made like that. Its to make sure you waste money
Why would anyone run an arcade hall? Because it's designed to tickle your toes and empty your pockets. There's no reason for the claws not to be stronger if it was a fair game.
If the game was fair you would have people who mastered the game coming into every arcade and clearing it out instantly... There really is no choice but to make it a little scammy.
@@LiquidusSnakeX not scammy but yes people like me would put them out of business if it was 100% skill it simply needs to be well known you have like a 1/50 chance

The manual for this machine says that you set a win ratio. After the machine makes enough money, then only will it allow a win. Otherwise it delays your button press communication.
Yes. And, it's completely legal, because the game is probably classified as a machine that depends on luck, and not as a machine that produces skewed results. But, when you look at it, you would think that it's not a game that depends on luck, but rather on the player's skills.

" i ate the real prize" lmfao your funny bro cool vid
I can understand them limiting it to one prize per day given that it is a game of skill in which they are giving out good prizes. A very good player could show up and clean them out rather quickly, plus if the player is still there they couldn't refill the machine knowing they could just keep playing. Also I see you mentioned that they do have it posted on the machine although if it is small they maybe should make it clearer to people playing.
Nope, as long as there's no rules... you're free to do whatever you want. You are not robbing them. It's their own fault for baiting people. Wouldn't you feel any pity for those who have been wishing to win that prize and fail because they have spent quite much money and fail to even get one prize? But when it's the lost of the Arcade, they want to limit? WTF? And it's not even written, if those bastards were to be forced to show where's the rules, bet they won't be able to show it either
The point is there are rules, it is one win per person per day. If you pause at 9:58 you can see it posted on the 'How to play' diagram. It maybe could be posted a little more clearly but it is definitely there.
This is only partialy game of skill. Its predetirmed in software how often buttons respond with no time lag and how often there will be almost unoticable lag so machine arm stops in wrong place.

Wow
Man your so rude

Run along now dickhead...your Momma's calling you back to bed.
I used to work in an arcade as a game technician so if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask.
1. Games are rigged, they need a certain money threshold before being won. Example: From that key game, if youâre trying to win letâs say an Xbox thatâs worth $250, then the machine would have to have taken at $250 worth of credit MINIMUM before it lets you win it. Depending on the location, some places would raise the minimum amount higher for more profit. If you havenât reached the threshold, and you perfectly aligned the key, the machine will move the key slightly up so you canât win it.
My advice, if you have seen someone win (or ask an employee to see if anyone has won a major prize recently) I would stay away from it
This isn't keymaster tho...
How much money do you put on a card usually? I love your videos!
