    Yo chris did you take the applied music program from mohawk was it worth it, did it improve your musicianship and expand your network?

    • @ChrisBoboros
      @ChrisBoboros  Před rokem

      Yes absolutely is worth it, if you want to expand on theory for all music as well as your instrument major, also to embrace different music styles as well. You learn a lot all around music, with theory, reading, ear training, piano playing which is mandatory, improv and ensembles, business side, music history, recording and studio engineering, it touches base with everything, and pushes you in the direction of what ever field you are interested in, performing, teaching, therapy, film scoring, conducting, etc. bonding with musicians of all levels and background’s definitely expands musician ship and connections with them for future networking as well as meeting guest speakers they have come in for clinics, well worth it if you are 100% serious, would definitely recommend!

      @ChrisBoboros I mean I always wanted to pursue music but I heard it's a tough business and your competing with other musicians who want to make it a full time career. A guy from a video was saying that out of the 100 people who attended humber college's music program only about 5 of them are doing music full time, and that's one of the best music programs in the province. Question is when the ride is over how do professional musicians make their living that's consistent and provides well for them? whether its a solo artist, band or orchestra. Another thing that has turn me off is the absolute corruption of the music industry where artists are taken advantage of and exploited of their hard work. I heard from a friend that the mob is involved that industry.
