He was already vulnerable and had been disowned by his dad and then Dennis Nilson tried to kill him but also let him go which must of also given him survivors guilt. The police brushed it under the carpet, he turned to his family for support and they show no concern and unplug the phone so he can’t contact them. The trauma, pain and feeling of worthlessness that Carl Stotter must of felt… NO ONE deserves that
It's so similar to some of the Dahmer cases.. just truly heartbreaking. x
I am heartbroken for this man. RIP.
I'm not surprised to learn that poor Carl has passed on. The most recent footage I saw of him in a documentary was heartbreaking; he looked and sounded like an absolute wreck, in bad health both mentally and physically, and who could blame him? He got out of that flat alive, but in one sense he didn't really survive at all. It's so awful. :(
He offed himself. Probably did not seek therapy. I mean he was almost m*rdered by Nilsen 😭😭
请问是哪部纪录片?
They wondered why the police wouldn't believe him, yet they repeatedly refused to believe him to the point they unplugged the phone lines just to stop hearing him talk about it...
How can this poor man's family go on camera and pretend to be outraged. They're the ones who turned their backs on him after he came out and continued to hurt him by ignoring his story.
"The police ignored him because he was gay. They though this is what gay people get up to". Just like how you disowned him after finding out his sexuality. You're the reason he became a victim
Exactly. He could cope with outsiders not taking him seriously, but ofc it would hurt way more people knowing you all your life treating you as a delusional fantasist/liar. They were the ones who had a real duty to Carl, not police officers.
The 1980 i m not suprised
@@heytigers3104the police officers absolutely had a duty. there's no point to a police force that doesn't protect the people it's supposed to protect.
A very common situation where someone in a very serious situation aren't taken seriously.. Very sad
I hope his family apologised to him...or felt a little remorse for what they had done. They rejected him twice; when Carl came out, and when he frantically called and they responded by pulling the telephone line out.
Agreed, although that damage is quite irreversible, sadly.
CARL DIDN'T DESERVE OF HIS FATHER TO DISOWN HIM ,he really suffered from trauma,I suffer from trauma and it doesn't go away, may he rest in peace and his mother and brother think of beautiful butterflies, when thinking of Carl, you could see their eyes well up when talking about him, that's real ❤ Love
How are you gonna just hang up on someone with those problems no matter what mental issues they had if someone says they trying to be killed you go help or call the police
@Foreign Policy or had kids
Sending your family strength and love
Even if a tiny mouse dies in your house it stinks up the whole place let alone body parts.
Very sad. The family truly can’t criticize the police because they also brushed it under the carpet as a fantasy. Maybe just maybe if they’d listened to him, supported him & went to the police station with him his life would’ve been a lot different 🙏
Thank you. 🖐️👍 You just said what I came here to say. How hypocritical of them. 😞 Poor Carl.
Same thing happened with Jeffrey Dahmer's victims. One of them was a boy only about 14 years old. He managed to escape out of Dahmer's apartment, but was bloodied and disoriented. When police approached him, Dahmer came out and convinced the cops that everything was fine. Cops laughed it off as a gay quarrel and left the scene. Dahmer took the boy back into his apartment and murdered him immediately.
It reminded me of the same thing as well.
That's so chilling. Like something from a horror movie
Sad that his dad didnt want to know
The parallels to Dahmer are scary.
That's exactly what I said when I heard this. I found this video after reading a story about Dennis Nilsen. My best friend is a gay man, a professional who has a strong marriage of 20 years. He didn't come out in high school for fear that his best buddies on the football team would hate him. He moved away and didn't talk to them, until they found him finally. They ALL said "you should have told us". To this day, they still go on vacations together and they have never cared that he's gay. That's the way WE ALL should be! Sending love and light to Carl's family.
Poor man. RIP Carl. Really not surprised he has died. Bless him. His so called family can't take the moral high ground for this. Yes, they didn't do what Nilsen did, but they betrayed him by not listening! I feel sorry for Carl, not them
I know! Poor Carl. What a ROTTEN family he came from!
It's sad that most people who come out to their families have to find another family, basically because they are rejected!
My uncle was Douglas Stewart who first reported an attempted murder, I believe the police should have caught him at Melrose avenue before anymore people unnecessarily lost their lives, and families would have never lost their loved ones, they are human beings, even if they didn't have family, murder is wrong, and the police should have caught this murderer straight away, it's heartbreaking for me, to see people treat each other the way they do, talking about murder like it's okay, the word okay, actually means none killed, so murder is definitely not okay
Rip carl and all the other men, and condolences to the families, and anyone else affected by this
This sounds like the the black guy who escaped from Dahmer’s apartment and ran to police, they said the same thing a lovers tiff and handed him back to the monster.
I get the impression guilty conscience here
My condolences to Carl stotters family, my uncle survived dennis nilsen too,my uncle is Douglas Stewart
My uncle reported the attempted murder too
Some people are treated really bad,and that isn't right
Evan Peters should play him
First view
I never knew he had female victims
Same I thought they were all male
they were all males.
