  • A quick look at how to install baseboards without a nail gun. The process involves using a primary long lasting glue, and quick setting glue. The two glues that I used in the video were: Dap Dynaflex Caulking, and Sta'Put contact cement.

    A small little trick for the inside corner is to apply caulk to the mitered edge before setting the bb in. Wipe out the oozed out caulking for a perfect corner look

    Thank you for your excellent videos. I got hooked and watched every. single. one. Brilliant. Weird question - If you were replacing all the floors and baseboards in a house, would you do the baseboard as you finished the floor in each room or would you do all the baseboards at once at the very end? I'm a little nervous that a typical baseboard wont cover the previously covered spaces in all of the rooms....Also, would love for you to do some more miter saw videos. Thank you!

    • @TheFunnyCarpenter
      @TheFunnyCarpenter  Před 3 lety +2

      That's unreal, thank you! It depends on the house situation and the flooring. If you're doing a 3 story house it can be nice to start from the top and work down. For me if I'm renovating my house I would rip out all the old flooring and baseboards, then I would repair the walls and ceiling, then paint all the walls and ceilings and any door trims. Then instal the new flooring(if it's carpet you instal the baseboard first), then instal a preprinted baseboards, then fill and caulk, then touch up the nail holes, and ideally one more coat over the baseboards covering the caulking(I don't alway do this because it's a pain). What type of mitre saw video are you looking for?

    Why not try using a hot glue gun as a temporary quick grab solution? Much cheaper and a better grab!

      @@TheFunnyCarpenter Thanks for the good tips on how to install baseboards without using fasteners.
      About Leroy, neighbors and friends. Maybe you need to invest in Milwaukee tools with ONE KEY and TICKs?

    If I borrow something, I bring it back cleaned and how the owner gave it to me. If it was stolen, I'd take the loss and buy the owner a brand new one. That's how a man is supposed to borrow another man's tools. Or buy your own lol
