- In today's video, I Spent 100 days in Astroneers . Astroneers is an open-world survival game where you colonize planets in space. Your main objective in this game is to collect resources and build bases. In this game, you can build vehicles space ships, and much more. This video is so frustrating but i love it as i did similar things when i just started astroneer. There are A LOT simpler ways to do pretty much everything you were doing. Love the video, keep it up!
yeah it was painful yet fun to watch
Between not adding more power supply or using the core to teleport out to the powered mode which has tethered back to base you can definitely tell this is a first playthrough
Edit: just realised he has an oxygenator in the ship, used the medium ship which I've never done and also doesnt have any drill gun mods

Huge respect bro when i played astroneer for the first time i had 0 clue what to do i beated the game after 50 hours of gameplay if i would not look up what to do to beat the game i would be lost till today i really enjoyed the whole vid and teached me new thing too thanks for that
If you put tethers on your top left or top right back pack spot you can quick place it this feature works with most interactive items like tethers, horns, beacons, etc on controller it's LB and RB on PC I have no clue just spam everything. With the surface nodes you don't need to power all 3 connection ports just one as long as you have enough power output.
With keyboard you can press t to put down tethers no matter where they are on your backpack. Very useful when you want to keep you top left and right slots for something else.

You can use Oxygen Filters instead of theters, that way you can roam around and just craft one when your Oxygen level gets low.
or oxygen tanks, which are basically just filters but refillable
id get lost day one

Two things that could have helped you much faster
1. Use the hydrazine thruster, bc it’s reusable and has a lot more fuel such as like 20+ launches
2. When you mined to the center of the planet, make a path and collect astronium which can be put in a teaser h chamber and reaserxhed for 200 bytes p/m at a grand total of 500 bytes per astronium, there is also a way to put astronium in a medium canister and it will “rejuvenate” the astronium so it doesn’t ever go away, although you do need to stop the teaser h chamber just before it ends
The hydrazine thruster should actually be obtained more later in the game due to its difficult cost, and not to mention you would get two for free either way during one of the rail mission quests, which is a much better deal! Not only does the thruster have 20+ launches and is reusable, but you can also fly for as long as you want as long as they're filled with hydrazine! These jet packs are also explosive, so it's good to be careful when setting off dynamite or any types of explosions :)
I also think you mean research chamber, and while researching astronium is a foolproof way to gain bytes, it's much more efficient to go down to glacio and scan research samples in the caves, as they give around 300 bytes per sample! Research samples also regenerate after some time, so you can make a simple auto farm using proximity repeaters :)

19:10 that's where you put on of those items you got from putting quartz in sylvas core. so in the future bring two of each resource you need to activate a core.
Put a beacon on one of your shoulders when you go exploring and know you might leave your tethers for even a bit. That way if you do happen to die the beacon can lead you to your bag since beacons can be on when they're on your shoulders

Bro you can just press “T” to put down tethers on the ground while running or walking
Quick tip: when you want to place tethers you can just press T it’s way quicker 👍
If you were to continue this series, which i hope you do, Using a packager on a low fuel thruster and unpackaging it will make the fuel go back to 100%, and using small wind turbines instead of bigger ones will produce more power, more cost efficient and uses less space, if u stack them onto the medium silo B

6:30 wait till he realizes if you put furnaces on large platform bs then he docent have to take out the smelted resource manually
Tip: if you press and hold R and select the top option, it will open a compass that shows all beacons, bodies, the exo crates and more. There is also a medium storage silo that holds 32 resources and its made with 2 titanium.
just a tip but to save fuel you can package the used solid fuel thrusters and when you unpackage them they'll be replenished

On mg first playthrough too! Currently, i have my small shuttle, with the upgraded engine, and basically have went to every planet! My next plan is going to a core of a planet, which i tried and uh... died for my first time, 4 hours in, goin strong
during my second play-through I was able to get rtgs and 32 nano carbon alloy in a week. Because you know exactly what you need to do and can optimize a lot
i haven't been playing Astroneer & et-cetra in a minute it's a nice & unique lookin' game.
You cant pause the game as it is its own server, even in "solo". Thats why you can also directly invite a friend to the game.
Most multiplayer games work the same way... but still allow you to pause solo games. And often multiplayer games as well, of course :P

I love this game
Got about 880h in this game and I hate those tethers, I don't use them. Before the compass they also acted like a trail to get you home, now it's better to just keep sucking up oxygen filters until you get oxygentanks and later the portable oxygenator.

With tethers place them on your top spaces on your backpack and on pc use c or v to then place them same for power extenders and train posts
If you put the tethers in your inventory press the right bumper for controller, places them for you. Idk how it is for keyboard tho
If you put 2 large storages and put it on your medium shuttle then put medium storages on it i think you can double the storage

depends on the item being moved but generally using 2 large storages is the best also that config is for a battery settup

U can use tethers on a T button if they are in ur inv
you can place theters using T without placing the theter pack and holding F. Just press T and it sets a new theter were you are aiming at.

I apologise if this is a spoiler but with the weird satellite thing, after completing every core on every planet you get this object that you place there, fill it up and that’s the ending

There’s no pausing, I’m starting to play again after almost 3 years, and the reason is back then there was no ending to the game but now I have a reason to come back much more content, with an actual ending to the game, and yes I have completely forgotten how to play 😂
