very sorry to hear what you are going through. As adults we may have the maturity to get over it and look for other avenues to divert attention. Unfortunately for kids it is a very disturbing situation and their happiness and mental condition is the most important thing to address. What you are doing is the right thing and also sometimes things in life dont pan out the way we want. Every where you go (including your own country) there is discrimination, racism (not openly exhibited due to legal reasons), jealousy and though people seem to not display it openly, have it deep inside. When a foreigner comes and succeeds the locals get the feeling that their opportunities are being taken away by foreigners. Now with the recession looming the sentiments are going to be even worse. Move close to your friends in the best interest of your family. With regard to your health very sorry to hear you are having to go through tough times and wish you the Best.

I can really understand ur pain.. Child happiness is important.. If u are interested in trying work in other countries in Europe..u can try for ireland( Dublin) people here are friendly and it's a developing county.. Many foreigners are coming especially there are many indians..

I can understand how difficult it is living abroad with children. Nowdays if there is family beside, there is no help.But you guys are lucky to have such kind of friends who are helpful. In Germany , Norway, Danmark people do feel very lonely. Even though it is a hard decision, children will be happy means it is the best thing 😊
I faced the similar issue when we were in Russia. It was hell but fortunately i didn't have my son then but still the discrimination we faced as a only Indian couple living in full Russian community was bad. They weren't even acting friendly when me or my husband try to do some friendly talk or something they just walk away as if we were talking to someone else. I personally was feeling very down and I got pregnant at that town and when i first went in for ultrasound they said immediately there is no heartbeat and booked my appointment for DNC next day but a instinct in me made me go and check in national hospital next town which had few international citizens we travelled 2hrs to the town thinking our baby is no more but fortunately he was healthy and perfect. After that we changed the town moved to bigger town. What say India is best. And thankfully we returned back to India this year.

Hi saranya, we had the similar experience with my 6yrs old daughter in Brussels Belgium, she studied there for 2yrs from age 4,due to the language barrier French she also got isolated and became very depressed, school didn’t take any action and she also had only one friend, she used to hide behind us if she sees kids walking towards us in sidewalk ,even we were thinking of moving back to India, somehow we got transferred to Ireland and here lot of Tamil families and language is English so now she is happy going to school here, from my experience I can totally understand ur decision and it’s really a good one, it’s really tough to became friends with locals . I hope everything will workout and kids will be happy All the best😊

Omg I cannot beleive this! This is EXACTLY what happened to us, and we took the exact same decision for the same reason (no Indians in area, kid was suffering and we were lonely, so we left our own house, after living in it less than 3 years, and moved to a rental in another area with more Indians and social life and inclusion)! But let me tell you this after 6 months of moving - we are seeing that our decision was right, our kid is way more happier now, and is making friends, we as adults also have a social life now and a support system. And we also managed to sell the house thatwe vacated, and buy a new one in the new area, and the house is wayyyyy better than the old one.
I wish the same happens to you guys! Good luck!

Absolutely right decision, at the end we need to be happy, we came from India to experienced another culture, no need to integrate with people who are reluctant, Germans are so different, they don't trust foreigners and keep a boundary always, for us kids are first priority. Come to USA, my kids studied here from pre-k, they are now married. We do have some racism but not to that extend in schools. We are happy
Sure we still have this in consideration. We will 1st take the German passport, so that US visa processing would be much easier
Even in t.n. also kids facing the same issues... Ma daughter also telling the same thing... I asked her to mingle with them bt they are nt ready to accept her... Kids characters defined by parenting n teachers must observe students behaviour in school , it's one of their duties to bring out the kids with good behaviour ... Hope everything will be okay when u move to yr new place...

So sorry for your experience, we live in Dublin Ireland. It’s such an immigrant friendly country and English speaking too with loads of international population and in specific Indian populations, have never faced any racism or discrimination in 8 years, If you consider moving within Europe you can consider Dublin , all the best!!

I'm studying at public university and being surrounded with mostly malay's people in my class and course, I faced this issue where I felt Im not welcomed...
I'm facing inferiority complex but i dont know how to open up with others especially with parents cause they have hope in me and at the same time I cant leave my studies just like that.. Now i like being alone and enjoy my time all alone
