Hi Lucy 👋 can you tell me the easy and the fast way to study English please 😊

If everyone spoke so clearly like you, it would be easier for non-native speakers having an English conversation :c ❤️
You're the best teacher!
Not only best but the most beautiful British Teacher.
She really is!
I agree.
Specially
If an ielts examiner speaks so clearly
I am saying some ielts speaking examiners in Australia are really really incompetent, and more they incompetent more arrogant they would be
This is just a harsh truth and a crime against the the students
Agreed
I love this channel because so easy to understand what you talk even i don't know english very well. I am from Malaysia.
I agree, great content!
Yeah her accent is very clear mmm
Great for you man

I think the most difficult thing about learning English is having a conversation without getting stuck.
That is very true but like everything else, practice makes perfect!
Correct. That's true . Practice, practice practice could be helping us to be better in English
U r right...
Us Brits do that a lot in normal every day life too!! Weather it's to a Native or not!! 😂😂 We'd get stuck in the middle of a conversation and it'd be Extremely awkward lol
Oh Lucy, I'm absolutely positive that conditional tenses in your interpretation is exactly what a lot of people would learn. It would be great to watch such video.
I always think that the answer about lottery tells a lot about the person. It's a good way to see if people are more about themselves or about others. And you answered that you would do something for your parents first 😉
and in one video she says her father is managing's director :))
I want to agree with most of the people. If every native person would speak as good as you, life for us, non-native people would much easier. It's such a pleasure to listen to you. It's funny how we understand more, pretty much all, but can't pronounce or just dont remember all. I wish I could have a friend like you. Shame that I didn't see your channel before. 👏👏👏 respect
I can't continue conversatinons well even in my native language, so your today's lesson was really helpful for me. Especially, that "What do you do" is bad gave a new light to my eyes. I'm looking forward to your next lesson.
Well, I am from India. As in India, we have various languages, cultures etc., we poses differently in same situation. If you ask me, as I am from Kolkata, West Bengal, here, we usually sound like "hmmmm" and pause for a few seconds... We don't open mouth while thinking. Most of us follow this way... But, as you know, every human is unique, one can't stick to any particular way of expressing the feelings. And, in the end, I do want to thank you for your videos, these are really very helpful to a many. Love from Kolkata, India.
Am I the only one that really enjoys the beginning song 😂
Btw Lucy you are an amazing teacher and you inspire me
You're really an amazing English teacher to help people learn & love English. And, I'M one from those people. After watching your videos, I can make out that I'VE improved myself in English.
So, thanks a ton, Lucy.
Hi Lucy and everyone. In Spain, we do say 'eeee' instead of 'aamm' when thinking aloud. It's true that our vowels 'a' and 'e' are pronounced with an open mouth. But, I want to point out that the level of loudness and openness of the mouth depends more on the person speaking habits. Your example is definitely informal and not common in situations where a higher register of language is used. Thanks for your videos!
I agree. Some people just forget what he-she was talking about and says, well, "esto" or if they talk very quicky they use tails like and so, "y tal" , "you know"... Well. Anyhow, it's different from Oh I see! or Ah! E.g., I'm waiting for my dentist, so I have now the habit of puting my hand above the mouth, for if I have forgot my artificial tooth that day, or try to use a handkerchief (imagine how difficult it is pronouncing any long word both in Sp or Eng; blasted artificial tooth). Well, it depends, Lucy, today's not my day. I'll answer you tomorrow when I had thought of it roughly.
Hello Lucy ma'am!

Oh, you're so right about the schwa sound whilst thinking. It is really normal in Chile, which is where I'm from. Very helpful to know that fact about UK conversation skills. Love your lessons Lucy!
Who wouldn't want to have a lockdown at some farm with Lucy with all this English Learning and this great amount of beauty. Keep it up. You're marvellous.
Hey! We too in India use 'umm' or 'hmm' sometimes even 'aaa' sound with mouth shut while thinking, but while conversing in English we mostly use 'well' a lot😄☺️
thanks lucy! for bringing positive conversation tips and tricks. your teaching is not just English, but positive mindset too!
As an American, in reference to the "What do you do?" question, they were probably waiting for more. Such as "What do you do for work?", or "What do you do for fun?". I hope that helps explain why there may have been confusion. I do love your videos!
Okey, I am on the third point, where Lucy talks about Spanish culture and I have to say that I, as spanish, totally agree with this fact😂! Saludos desde País Vasco 😘

Honestly speaking, I don't produce any sound while thinking as I often speak out loud my thoughts! Sounds strange, I know. And this is happening over and over again since the lockdown has started. I look forward applying these conversational skill secrets although at.... 6 feet distance. I owe you one, Lucy. 😉🇮🇹

My first language is British English and I found this video so useful because I'm really bad at small talk with my extended family and my family friends. Great video, I love watching your videos
Thank you so much for the lesson. Is very helpful. I am learning English and these are things I never think before but compliments like that are very foreign to me. We don’t do it in my language too much. But you are helping me very well to learn to adapt. Thank you Ms. Lucy!
Tip #4 is very true! I think most people, especially in interviews or even on a normal day, get stuck in a conversation because of the lack of adequate words to be used in sentences.
To improve my conversation and vocabulary skill, I have been learning new interesting English words and decided to make a video for everyone to watch as well. :)
Hi Lucy, it’s 1:30 am in my country and I can’t help watching your video, as it is so interesting and useful that it’s taken over my tiredness! Thanks a lot for your precious tips, you’re a very good teacher, who is capable of making topics easy to understand, motivating her students with a positive attitude and always offering interesting viewpoints to think about more in depth! Keep up the good work, you’re great!! Goodnight and lots of love from Italy ❤️
Hi Lucy! I started to watch River Cottage because one of your lately uploaded video, and, omg, this is AMAZING. I'm not keen on it on my mother tongue but I definitely like it in English. Thanks for the recommendation! 💛

I really like and enjoy your videos, because I'm self taught, this helps me improve and notice what mistakes do I make while talking/writing and helps me fix them before they become permanent issue or regular habit of using some words or slang that are not very best way of expressing myself. I'm learning English language desperately and your videos help me a lot, truly you are amazing teacher
I loved your lesson Lucy!!! can't wait to implement your useful tips !
I'm from Russia. In Russian we used to say "эмм" and "э" sounds to show that we're thinking. Also we use the "хмм" sound (I know a lot of foreigners are using this sound too) meaning we're thinking that if a certain person (it may be a friend, a relative or just a person we know) suggested us something interesting
How, bro, have u got this like from Lu??

Hey Lu!
I'd love it if you post some videos on conditionals, tenses, etc cuz I've been struggling a bit with them at school.

Lucy, thank you for your lessons. I used to live in England and now in the US, and originally from Mexico. Your lessons remind me a lot of my times in the UK. You have an awesome humour too!
It's so lovely watching you, lady. it always gives me a new level of confidence of public speaking.
Thank you Lucy, you are so pretty and intelligent! You has helped me a lot with my British English, I hope to see more amazing videos from you💗
Me being an introvert, this video of yours was quiet helpful.
Thanks a ton.
Awww, you sound so sweet.
Hi Lucy, thanks for the useful tips!
Funny, in Russian we usually do a 'humming' (?) noise, basically just not saying anything, just do the very closed 'hmmm' or 'mmmm' or 'uhmm' :D and very often we also use those noises to do a 'yes'/'no' response ('m-hhm'/'m-mmh'), which, I imagine, is very confusing for foreigners.
It is informal, of course, something that you can use in a regular conversation, although sales people also do the 'm-hm' sound to keep their 'agreement' going, sometimes :) But many also tend to open their mouths and say 'eeh' or something like that, not as loud as the Spanish people though. Really depends on where you're coming from, probably. More to the north we keep our mouths shut, more to the south we open them :)
Hello Lucy! I totally agree, I'm from Spain, I'm from Madrid and we really do do the sound you did "eeeeeeeeeeeeh" (with the mouth open wide), thanks for your awesome videos!
I’m really interested in lesson about how to express love feelings to your couple, cuz I can’t find enough adjectives and idioms to express all gradients of love. In Russian or Spanish there are a lot more. Am I wrong? I hope you could show us a lot of different tools, tips and tricks how to do it. Thanks. You’re brilliant
That would be a great video to make.
hope for it

buut now i live in England and all i know is from movies but they are more American so now i need to know British English :D so thank you for these videos :)
Hungarians think like "öööö", or just say "izé". "Izé" is a word of everything. Like you can't say what it is, but hope the others understand...☺
(Mainly they don't. 😂)
Uuuh We Finns say Öööö too! (but is the sound itself the same? In Finnish the 'öö' sound is close to the British schwa sound...)
@@ilaripeltonen4330 Ours is a bit sharper, but something similar. If you want more, just find a live tv show in Hungarian. I'm sure you'll find what you're searching for in less than 5 mins.
IZÉ IS OOOOOLD. ÖÖÖÖÖ IS FOREVER
I was told that "ize" is originated from the word "iz" which was a demon in old Hungarian mythology. Sometimes you hear Hungarians saying: may the iz eat it! (Az iz egye meg!).
My mom is Hungarian but I'm Canadian and I'm learning the language and culture - and I must say that the Hungarian mythology is the most intetestingvthing I've ever read.

I really appreciated this video. With not being around as many people due to the pandemic, it can be easy to forget the art of conversation. I am now motivated to call family and friends more often so I can put Lucy's advice to work and become a better conversationalist :)
Apart from her explaining different aspects of english language what i like your face while speaking. One of the reasons i am on this channel ❤

Hey Lucy,
I´m following your channel since a long time and I finally have a question.
I´m in the current super sprint of Lingoda - thanks to you - and this new offer also has awaken my interest.
Do you know if I can do both at the "same time" with an overlap period?
Best regards
Daniel
In Italy, when thinking, we make the same sounds as you did so a "Uhm" sound but we often go like "Eehm" too, so a slightly long E sound at the beginning. However I have to admit that I make the same sound as Spanish people sometimes but it isn't that loud and my mouth isn't that wide when I make it ahahah, it's kind of softer.
I've burst out laughing listening to that sound! It's true: we do exactly that way. 😂😂😂
Great video Lucy! Very informative, thanks :)
Very useful your tips about keeping a fluent conversation but what i actually find having a chat with people, is that the majority of people dont bother to correct you when you are trying to communicate, either because they understand what you are talking about or laziness! sometimes it is frustrating
1st outsider (except Lovely Lucy sis)
In Greece it’s exactly the same as in Spain! While thinking we go “eeeeeh” and now it seems rude to me, I’ll prolly give strange looks to ppl thinking 😂
We also say : "mmm..." and mayby :"aaaaaah" 😁. I often say these when I'm thinking 😂. It's in person's nature... 🤔
Wow. Lucy, your pronunciation is marvellous. I sometimes look your mouth, and I realize that you make the English splendidly.
Oh, Lucy, I think everyone here needs your video about conditionals😃😃!
