Please do the Attestation letter affect people who applied 2023 and got Visa January but will school on may,june ......so will this person still needs attestation letter at the airport please ?

As of January 22, 2024, most students must include an attestation letter from the province or territory where they plan to study with their study permit application.
If you apply without an attestation letter your application will be returned unless you’re either
a minor child in a primary or secondary school (kindergarten to grade 12)
a student in a masters, PhD or other post-graduate program
a student applying to extend your study permit

@Funke, Thanks for the amazing informations you keep sharing frequently. My wife gained admission to study CCA Certificate program in a college (SK) that is among DLI list qualify for PGWP. She applied for Fall Semester but her program will start by August 2024 as per date mentioned in her LOA and we have submitted application (December 29, 2023) for study permit visa for my wife who is the principal applicant and my two kids, and a SOWP for me. We did upfront medical. Currently, IRCC has confirmed that the four of us passed our medical and no additional document is required from us but we are waiting for the final decision. What do you think is my chances for getting the SOWP and is my SOWP application affected by this new development?
The changes made will be effective from Jan for fresh applications. You should be blessed to have your application already underway.
Hi please so me and my spouses have been looking for admission for the May intake through my agent since October but the admission is not yet out so does this mean wen the admission is out before May I can't still come with him since they said they will start this new rule September please I beg you l will really appreciate if you can reply me please

Admission not out for May intake? So sorry but your agent is not being truthful. Before I make any conclusions what school are you looking to apply to. Admission is closed for fall session Aug/Sept . Most schools will have winter session open for 2024/2025 intake
@@FunkeSuyi according to him he said that he’s looking for cheaper schools that why till now he as not gotten any admission yet so please do you think we should just apply for visitors visa then apply for work permit when we are in Canada?
And please ma what if the admission comes out for the May intake I won’t still be able to go with him or the open work permit restrictions will start taking effect till September please I will really appreciate if you can help me answer this so I will know my way forward I will not want something that the admission will come out now and we will pay school fee just for me not able to follow him

Good day ma and thanks so much for ur prompt response, may God almighty bless u amen.. now here’s my question: recently got admitted into Manitoba university 19jan 2024 and I applied undergraduate course so I can go with my husband as d dependant. We r about to start d visa processing but I’m scared incase my husband will be denied Open work permit due to this new law. If we are able to make it to Canada before September will he be given d open work permit? Pls when is these new law taken effect exactly? Thank u so much for ur prompt response in advance
Unfortunately, this new change is effectively implemented. Starting this Jan for new visa processing. Exception is made for masters and doctorate students.

I only applied undergraduate with d intentions of switching to nursing but now that d story has changed, can I go for masters in same school? Will it be possible to switch to masters program now?
