This was the very first song I heard on my first real HiFi stereo, in my room at 13, in 1983. I was blown straight to the Moon at the sound of that guitar intro. The seperation, the clarity, the power. There was no turning back from there. I was offically an audiophile.

Those were the best days, to be there alive as a teenager in the 1980s was very special and the music is unrivaled, it was the evolution of the analog masters of the 60s and 70s reaching its peak. I don't know what happened in the 1990s with the introduction of hip-hop, reggae, and rap everything went into a nosedive.

Hip-hop, reggae, and rap all pre-date the 90s. Bob Marley started in the 60s; Yellowman has been active since 1974. Hip-hop has been around since at least the 70s.
I’m not sure how perfectly good genres that had been around for a while sent the 1990s, “…in a nosedive.” I was a teenager in the 90s, and my biggest problem with that decade was every record exec trying to find the next Nirvana.

I happened across it and found my future. All I can say is its spiritual in message for me and its changed my life. Songs like Where Will you Be. What a fantastic journey at 54

    Move yourself
    You always lived your life
    Never thinking of the future
    Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances, win or loser
    See yourself
You are the steps you take
You and you, and that's the only way
    Shake, shake yourself
    You're every move you make
    So the story goes
    [chorus]
    Owner of a lonely heart
    Owner of a lonely heart
    Much better than a
    Owner of a broken heart
    Owner of a lonely heart
Say you don't want to chance it
    You've been hurt so before
Watch it now the eagle in the sky
How he dancin' one and only
    You, lose yourself
    No, not for pity's sake
There's no real reason to be lonely
Be yourself, give your free will a chance
You've got to want to succeed
    [chorus]
    Owner of a lonely heart
    After my own decision
    They confused me so
    Owner of a lonely heart
My love said never question your will at all
In the end you've got to go look before you leap
    Owner of a lonely heart
And don't you hesitate at all, no no
    [chorus x2]
    Owner of a lonely heart
    Sooner or later each conclusion
    Will decide the lonely heart
    Owner of a lonely heart
It will excite it will delight
It will give a better start
    Owner of a lonely heart
Don't deceive your free will at all
Don't deceive your free will at all
    Owner of a lonely heart
Don't deceive your free will at all
    Just receive it
